Chapter 1- the boy with golden eye
The sky was beautiful . Dark blue with stripes of light orange. The sunrise was in few minutes. But still it was quiet except for a few insects. The ground was filled with dried fallen leaves. Rustling sound from below the dried fallen leaves announced the arrival of a slithering animal. It moved deep into the forest which ended in a cliff. Few places away from the cliff was a low cave with a wide entrance. And on one side of the entrance a boy of 18-19 years was leaning against the it. One of his leg was streached while the other was bend at the knees with his one hand resting on it. The second hand was behind his head working as a cusion. His eyes were closed with a calm face. It seemed like the slithering of the snake had yet to reach his ears although the snake was near him with its head raised ready to strike down at the man.
Masterrr... Ssshe has arrived. The snake hissed and within the blink of an eye, it shifted its shape. One moment it was a snake the next moment it turned into something else entirely. From above its waist it looked like a normal man. But thinking it was a man would be a person's last mistake. For he was anything but a man. It's eyes were pitch black, its tongue was forked,every strand if it's hair Was a snake hissing wildly ,even scales were slightly visible in the light.its body below the waist was something else. his waist was the house of thousands of snake who were restlessly trying to break free from their place of origin.
The boy moved a little. The snakes that were trying to wriggle out and were hissing like mad in a moment turned silent . They were so silent that they did not even move a little, afraid of making a sound.
Where ? That boy asked. He didn't even even open his eyes to look at the creature standing in front of him. The creature sighed in relief. It was good that it's master did not look at it. It didn't want to be bald and legless again. May evil keep the girl alive for a long time. If it had not been for the girl then his master would have.... It shuddered just thinking about it.
Ssuryavanshi kingdom. Sshe has been invited to attend the tribute ceremony. But then this ceremony is just a cover. They are planning to conduct two more events. The unified cry of the millions of souls was so terrifying that the earth began to shake uncontrollably. The boy smiled a sinister smile and then looked up to see the sun rise. The sun's ray scattered around the earth but as soon as it fell on that cliff and below, it was sucked the rays like a black hole. In the sunlight the skin of the boy dazzled like gold powder was sprinkled.
Siren's call... He sneered. Humans are growing funny to come up with such ridiculous names. Now that they are funny, let's have some fun with them. He said as he stroked the head of the creature that had suddenly turned to a child and held onto the boy's thighs tightly making cooing sound. The sound was so chilling that the souls quieted down.
A soul from the depth emerged. The child looked up and then said in the child like voice... Master, mistress is still weak. She won't be able to handle it.
Weak? Then it's necessary. She needs to be strong and in then mean time we will have some fun. He said as he smiled sweetly. Siren's call? has It been peace for too long that they want to create havoc? Let's help them. What do you think sarp? The boy asked As he patted sarp. Sarp smiled and cooed again. Thinking and rejoicing about the misfortune the human are going to face soon for having their eye on his mistress.

Be alert!!!! The royal suryavanshis have arrived. Bow down for the emperor suryavan, empress asha devi, crown Prince aakarsh and prince Ansh.
The hall that was bustling with voices quietened down considerably and the inmates stood up to welcome the royal family. The emperor sat on the highest seat with his empress beside him while prince Aakash walked to another high seat at a step below his parents. Looking straight ahead he saw the seat was already occupied by his uncle who was smiling at him. He bowed down in respect to his uncle and then sat down.
As the royal family sat down the others too took their places. It could be seen that the seats were not randomly given but were in an orderly fashion. The suryavanshis had divided the trangular land into 20 different parts. 9 were directly under emperor himself which surrounded his three capitals, the southern part that had in total 6 states were under the governing of his brother prince ansh and the rest 5 on the eastern Side were under the crown prince aakarsh. The representatives of these 20 subordinate states were sitting on the front row of both the sides according to the tribute and their contribution. Some countries had their kings while some were crown Prince. But at a glance it was clear that this time there were too many princesses present and that in the first row almost at the middle there was only one girl sitting. Being the only girl, she naturally attracted the attention of many. Upon enquiry one would come to know that she was the crown Princess of the sarpvanshi kingdom, princess piyanshi.. And this little information news enough to ignite fire of jealousy in all the womenfolk. Why ? Because the youngest and the second favourite queen of emperor suryavan, queen chandrika also belonged to sarpvanshi kingdom and was the paternal aunt of princess piyanshi.except for this Identity, the fame of the princess was known wide. Crowned at a young age she has proved that she was very capable of being the empress of a kingdom, brave and fierce. When she had first entered two days ago, everyone had the view that there was no need to fight with others for the position of the first wife of the crown prince, because she was capable enough to claim it even without lifting a finger. But they finally had a breather and laughed behind her back when they heard the news that she had decided not to participate in the competition citing that in relation crown prince was her cousin. But they again burned outright when they heard of another news that though all the prince and princesses were to stay in very luxurious places outside the palace, princess piyanshi would be staying within the palace in a room next to the youngest prince of the suryavanshi kingdom and her cousin prince aadrishya, who was the only son of the king whose every demand was fullfilled by his brother or his uncle or his father. A prince so spoild would have been a nuisance to all, but since young he had proved to be just like every sarpvanshi, sensible , emotionless and stable. He knew what he needed and what he did not need and acted accordingly.
The tribute banquet was to last for 5 days and in the 6 day the formal competition for the choosing of the crown Princess was to start. And today was the first day of the banquet. Every kingdom presented tribute in various forms. When it was the time for the sarpvanshis, the hall had quietened down considerably. Piyanshi walked up to the front and with a voice neither high neither low she presented a tortoise.
Let our good time pass as slow as this creature's walk and be as long as it's life.
Although everyone had heard about her but they has yet to see this princess. And now that they saw her, they were secretly relieved that she was not their competitor. For whether in etiquette, style,walk or anything she was much above them.
The tribute banquet ended with pomp and shore and everyone retired to their chambers. It was then that it started. A soldier ran to the place where Ansh and aakarsh were standing and relayed them a message
Prince,three more headless corpse have been discovered this time at the eastern end of the garden within the palace. They also have their blood sucked. We have taken them to the dungeon where other bodies are kept. It makes a total of 7bodies in 3 days.
Tighten the security and send one spy each to every guest and be updated in their every move. Some one among them is the culprit. And send someone to escort guru veerendra here as soon as possible. Now only he can give us a way out. Ansh instructed the guard.
Don't worry uncle guru veerendra will be able to help his. After all as the only one from the time of the siren's call, his experience of 700 years wont let us down. Aakarsh soothed his uncle. But both of them knew that it was a hope, they should hope that it was a ordinary matter that had nothing to do with siren's call.
In the chamber of the youngest prince, Princess piyansi was having dinner with aadrishya when a chilling wind suddenly passed through making the siblings shudder.
Didi, why did I feel like this wind is nothing good? Aadrishya asked piyanshi and looked at her only to find her staring outside.
It is said that night will pass and sun will rise, but do you know the other side of this truth? Piyanshi tore her gaze away from the window and looked at her 7years old brother staring at her with big expecting eyes.she stayed quiet and allowed the child to think of the answer. And she was not disappointed.
