Mughal ko koi worship nahi karta jaise raani padmvati ko karte hai. Yahan Muslim vs Hindu boy girl love story ka koi angle nahi hai toh on-street protest ka koi sawaal hi nahi uthata. Par as my understanding about KJo goes, woh abhi bas fuel daal Raha hai taaki jab aage jaroorat pade toh inn sab berojgaronki wajah se film ka buzz badhaya jaa sake and film news me rahe. Aur kuch nahi.

They will keep the film in the news by hook or crook for the next 2 years. KJo is the government's poster boy so there will be fake controversies and online protests that just make the audience more curious. There is not even a single Muslim celeb in the Mughal movie to upset the ruling party - Ranveer, Vicky, Kareena, Anil, Bhumi, Jahnvi are heading the film.

Nothing happened with Chhapak either even after JNU. It's just that the subject was too boring for people so they didn't bother to go see it. Female lead movies barely get any interest as it is.
