That’s a sweeping statement obviously. I’m not part of anti Alia brigade, infact she is my fav from the current crop. But I’m also one of those who felt that there were better deserving winners than Alia. Many of us aren’t pissed that Alia won it. We didn’t say we are pissed that Alia won it despite being undeserving. All we are saying is that there were better performances performances which had more screen space, performances which were clearly better than that of Alia. Alia is a great actress, she is very talented. Star kid or not, her talent wouldn’t have changed. But we cannot simply deny that she didn’t receive favours after favours and it’s totally unfair to others. Granted that this girl took all her opportunities and put her heart into it. But it’s also true that we cannot deny on how those opportunities came to her. She literally got everything on a platter called KJo. Anws back to topic, Alia may have done good acting in Googly boy but Rani/PC/Vidya definitely deserved it more than her.

I personally would have LOVED if Priyanka or Rani won the award. But Vidya? She's a MEGA talent but I did not see any thing award worthy in Mission Mangal. She really did not deserve a record-equalling 5th win in that category for that particular film. So I guess we're in the same boat.

If your 3 choices won then Kangana-Alia-Kareena fans would be upset. That's just how it goes. As I said before: Rasika Duggal (Hamid) and Anjali Patil (Mere Pyaare Prime Minister) were not given ANY recognition this award season and I don't see people complaining about that. We all just stick up for our faves.

I agree on Rasika Duggal. That’s why I don’t and people shouldn’t take these award shows seriously. All these happened before and will happen again. Expecting these award shows to be unbiased is a waste. They won’t. I’m guessing the boycott also happened because of the blatant support for googly boy even in supporting actors category. Like u said Rasika completely deserved awards for Hamid. And Vishal was miles ahead of Siddhant. Again Can’t complain much as it has happened before too, when Anil won over Deepak Dopriyal.

Aloo and Vidya close call i would say this year. Vidya unfairly won over PC in the Barfi year, this wasn't that unfair.

Most unfair is Zoya winning best director 😡And just coz she ain't a actor , she ain't getting the flak.
