Famous role in Aaina? I doubt anyone from the 90s even watched the film. She actually should have done Chameli ki Shaadi with Kartik playing Anil's role.

Amrita Singh is a phenomenal actress and had a powerful screen presence. You literally couldn't take your eyes off her if she was playing a strong character. Watch her standing up to Amrish Puri for Dimple Kapadia in Batwaara or standing up to the cops in Shootout at Lokhandwala. Sarah is much more conventionally pretty. but doesn't create as much of an impact onscreen. As with the others of her generation Amrita took whatever role came her way and her good roles got forgotten along with the mostly mediocre.

Not to forget her hilarious act n Chameli ki Shadi

I can't see Sara doing these epic characters well as her mother

Your knowledge about 90s Bollywood seems weak.

Aaina was a very popular movie of 90s , and so does Amrita's vampish-sister role in it..majority of 90s buffs watched & loved Aaina.

Idk which character you are talking about bt Sara can if she really give it a try... She can act n she has showed it in kedar n Lil bit simba.. She has screen presence, it's just now she is giving importance to everything other than acting, I hope she gets back on track n do good films.

Amrita Singh in Chameli ki shaadi was a hoot. All her typical mature looks and intelligence gone in a flash and replaced with a naive yet adorable school girl with a full fledged crush. I remember Sara being asked whether she'd love to reprise her mother's role in Aaina. She promptly replied that she'd love to do Chameli instead. Smart answer. At this stage of her career she isn't up to anything that complex.

No Sara can't able to act like Amrita she is was good and there was no PR like today to elevate the roles they played.. Looking the young generation I am feeling the older ones are much better in acting and natural in beauty and NO OTT in media..

Sara is only 3 movies old, and she was wonderful in lak, why put the blame of imtiaz' weak script on Sara. how contrived was the plot point, ki naukri ke liye pyaar kurbaan, and that too in the same city. and people are blaming Sara , doubt this movie would have made 10 crores with either a Sonam Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, shraddha ,etc .

Agree

I also liked her funny act in Pyar Ka Saaya (based on Ghost remake)

Also her villian role in Sooryavanshi, she was good in.

She was NOT wonderful in the movie- quite the opposite in fact. Her constant hamming, weird expressions and overacting ruined the character for me. It is a film which banks heavily on performances and these are sub-par, especially Sara Ali Khan's.
