Hi,
Not to bash the writers or troll them , i just want to say a few things about this show because this story is a story that I watch and I want to see where it goes.
The good part:
If I was to say it in one line - You have NAILED the Rudra-Maya equation to another level and MJ as a character minus his current growth as a villain. Rudra and Maya's story is very sensitively and intensely written - their antonym characters, the meeting of their darkness and light, their evolution as characters and how they helped each other and fought with each other for each other is an absolute brilliant spark of some great lovestory writing. So much so, that even the character dips which are common in daily shows due to the constant script producing and multiple changes ; even they have been taken care of when they come together as a package. One feels for their love story and against all odds want a happy ending for them. Two, MJ is awesome as a conniving villain - sex appeal, masochism, devilry, narcissism , manipulation , danger , cold charisma - he has it all and that's why he makes even the cringeworthy physical violence pass off. MJ is POTENTIALLY one of the best villains ever and you love to hate him. Thirdly, Rajeev - a seemingly uh-oh character in the start is such a relief in this dark story and the feelings of affection that he has for Nandini, Rudra and Maya make him lovable. You have woven him well into Maya's life - gradually but strongly. Wow. Well done. These are the reasons I watch this show.
The not-so-good part:
While the show handles the love story and emotional dynamics very well, the thriller part inspite of well meant attempts doesn't weave into a edge-of-the-seat drama that a thriller usually promises. Secondly, Maya's plans, her planning of 10 years , her adversaries , her future plans just don't fall together because there is no clarity on how Maya intended to punish her sinners. Thirdly, MJ is a potentially great villain but his display of villainy is turning out to be like those abusers we see in Savdhan India and Crime Patrol. He is losing all his 'class' and 'cold charisma' as a villain by the constant physical assaults. Four, Ananya could have been a great character who finds out Maya's story and supports the couple , but I see her reducing into a scorned woman first and a "shoulder" later for Rudra. Five, Nandini may have partial amnesia but even as a mother she has not been active in Maya's life. Six - Please don't fill the show with more characters than you can handle and do justice to. The main trio is already the fulcrum of the show - so, to do justice to the peripheral cast ( especially Aamir who is just a good looking furniture piece inspite of being a good actor ) , you have to keep them MINIMAL. You cannot have multiple characters, multiple tracks when you have such a powerful central story. Seventh and the most important point - I understand that you wanted MJ to be so ruthless that we hate him. Rudra is Maya's soul saviour. Maya is the bechaari sufferer. This has been accepted and the purpose has been served. NOW, MOVE THE STORY towards MJ Vs. Maya on equal footing, the fight for Rudra move a notch up and Rudra starting to notice his wife's terror and start peeling the onion he promised to peel. And no, your show won't end because there is still a LOTTTT of story to tell.
P.S- This post is just to give the writers a review of what is Wow and what is Bow-wow in this show. Please refrain from trolling them, making fun of them or insulting them. A daily show with multiple thoughts, views and TRP dependence is a very very pressurizing job and yet this team is doing a decent job despite all of that.
Today's episode review is not coming. And won't be coming for a few more days as I am waltzing in the world.
