Not really. Ek thi hasina which was Vatsal's last show went out on a high. I think that has been the only show to do that because they had a set storyline which was to go on for a few months and they did not extend it based on viewership.
I would love for this show to follow in those footsteps but expectation rakhna bewakoofi hogi.
Anyone here ever watch Ekta's "Pardesh Mein Hai Mera Dil" show on SP with Drashti Dhami & Arjun Bijlani Leads. This show started with beautifully in foreign location and both DD & AB had amazing chemistry, fans loved their jodi
TRPs were very decent too.. But both Ekta & SP did so much politics against that show. They made this show more n more worst intentionally so the decent Trps that show gained go down more n more. Fans did so much requested both SP n Ekta that don't ruin the show but didn't listen, then they killed the male lead Arjun Bijlani's character from the show and brought Bhoot-Prat track 👻
Finally they were succeeded and the show go off air before 1 year completed but still its last week TRP was 1.7 because of Drashti Dhami's popularity
That show was really beautiful n innocent initially but at end it turned Bhoot-Prat show. Both SP n EK did so much politics against that show even that show never got proper promotions..
Star plus non of the show is working and gaining trp
Not even iconic couple one
Rajan Shahi both show trp are better even without promotion
They won't take risk like this
They are trying to fetch trp with this drama
For them trp matters not story
You're so cute, Meera! I could literally feel your excitement while reading the post☺️
Thanks for acknowledging my post on the cross-dressing thing. I really thought everyone would forget because of how people usually react to such things in our culture and maybe because of people's reluctance to discuss it even on a separate post. But seriously, why couldn't they just have gone as themselves??!! (I may elaborate my full fledged feelings on that post later)
As much as I loved the song sequence on its own, I didn't like it as part of the episode. Don't gasp! I have my reasons. Firstly, it came out of nowhere. Secondly, the dudes changed their lehengas with full on make up, jewellery and even nail polish in the mere seconds and minutes that Kuhu goes out or maybe she had been standing there for hours. Who knows? All I know is I don't like these jump-cuts. Thirdly, my dramatic self was too distracted by the upcoming slap to be able to fully enjoy the romance happening. So, I went back and saw the song sequence just by itself and damn oh damn, what was Kunal looking at while tying the kamarband?🤪 Probably giving ishaara to the bestest bhai Jugnu to shower the flower petals.
Kunal seems to have some special connect to Holi. Holi ke time "Svet" se rishta toota. Holi pe hi he met Kuhu and then Holi bolte hi #RomanticRajvansh nikal aaya. Kuch to gadbad hai🤙🏻(Imagine ACP Pradyumna's finger wiggle).
Oh how I would love for KuKu to have one complete conversation without any interruptions but I guess it's too much to ask. Mishti aur Jasmeet ko naak ghusaani hi thi. Someone seriously needs to send Jasmeet to London, and maybe Nidhi also. Both are behaving like typical serial vamps.
I need more wholesome content like the Parul Kuhu hug not this half assed drama by Jas, Nidhi and Mishti. Dramatic karna hi hai to poori tarah karo na. Ye kya aadha adhoora kar rahe ho? Atleast kuch to enjoy karein.
And coming to the last point you wrote about Kuhu forgiving Kunal. I am 100% in favour. Itni jaldi nahi deserve karta wo forgiveness. He needs to earn it.
Agreed, all the Mishti fans have jumped to the conclusion that Kuhu is blaming Mishti for the divorce. The hatred for Kuhu on this forum really annoys me. When Mishbir do something wrong oh its out of character, its writers being dumb, but with Kuhu its just pure hatred. Now the writers are inclined on making Kuhu negative, I should just stop coming to this forum, with all the new hateness that will be directed at Kuhu.
Please don't stop. We need all the support we can get. 😆
I don't bother much outside this AT.
There s so much I'd like to say about the episode too But my fingers aren't fast enough and my phone is too small and fidgety. So I'll until I get back to my keyboard.
But, for now, I just want to say,
Maine toh aise hi keh diya 'fight it out'. Isne toh sach mein jaata mar Diya
😆.
The episodes are choppy and weird these days. It's like they've picked a few scenes and sandwhiched them together!
Lovely posts, everyone!
You know what I kind of loved? The fact that Abir's idea did *not* work for Kunal, and that in the end, Kunal just used it to give Kuhu some much needed relief (his face when she relaxed from his massage!), and to lure her outside. It kind of felt like once he had Kuhu alone, he knew *exactly* what to do. ☺️ I am into this take-charge Kunal and that is how I read his steady expressions. He was done playing around and ready to come straight to the point. They've always been the blunt, straightforward couple and they've always communicated through touch, so the way that whole moment unfurled, with Jugnu discreetly adding just a touch of extra glamour felt absolutely perfect. It's really beautiful how well these two have gotten to know each other, and how much they've become a unit through all the ups and downs of their family drama.
That detail of how he pulled her into the hug by wrapping her arms around him was
Rather than an "all is forgiven" moment for Kuhu, I saw it as more as an, "okay, the divorce is definitely not happening" moment. She needed something that grand and obvious to hear that from him because he had done such a good job of convincing her that he didn't want her or the marriage. Kuhu has always preferred to deal with her problems and her marriage in private (her no drama policy). She was putting off telling her family because she was holding out hope that Kunal would come around and decide to give this marriage a chance, so she could spare both of their families the heartache and because for her, marriage is serious business. I have no doubt that if the divorce papers weren't leaked by Mishti and Jasmeet, Kuhu would have taken Kunal to task in private (as she has done since day one of the marriage) and they would have had a more gradual journey towards love and trust within the four walls of their bedroom.
That would have been Kuhu's ideal outcome, and I think Kunal's as well, since both of them share a mutual aversion to drama, but alas! When do these two ever get their ideal outcome?
About the cross-dressing, it was damn stupid and quite pointless but I don't think it was offensive perse. Abir and Kunal were dressed up as women, which is really not much different from Mishti stealing and wearing Jugnu's clothes. My question is why they needed to wear all that make-up when they were odhofying the ghungat the whole time. Anyway, I'm just going to try and forget that whole thing happened -- it wasn't crossing any PC lines technically but it was still cringy AF. Kunal's reactions to the whole thing were on point!

100% on point, if all the divorce paper fiasco hadnt happened. Kuhu would have been relieved that she doesnt need to tell her family. If you look at the BTS or recent interview she says that, now its difficult for her family to give Kunal another chance. In one of the videos both BP and Shaurya dont want Kuhu to back to Rajvansh house. Despite having a rocky relationship, Kuhu still had hope that Kunal might give their marriage a second chance, but if the divorce comes out in the open, her family will not take it well and that is exactly what happened.
@ blue: It's true - I don't understand how then actors claim that ITV is a good space for women; it's empowering! 🤦

Well, I think it's empowering in one sense because in this world, everything revolves around women and men are the eye-candy -- which is a mirror image of mainstream Bollywood. But content-wise, it's mostly just women negotiating their way to success in a patriarchal system; most often that involves women putting other women down over a man. To me the more interesting/worrying question is why this is still the most widely consumed content. It's not like there aren't more sensitive shows on ITV, just that they never get the numbers.
I don't think simply having women exist at the forefront is empowering. @bold: And that's why. The content is still regressive.
