“era” is a very loooong period of time, her first movie was in 2010 which means she has been around only for 10 years- a decade...not...an era!!!

Shraddha was never relevant. Will never be.

Shraddha is as relevant as Alia, if not more, only if you consider star-power. Talent I agree she is far behind Alia.

Shraddha may not have got many awards or anything but one cannot deny she is loved by the public. In fact she seems to be the only actress who doesnt get trolled or hated. And shes had big impact believe it or not. Just see the list for decade album of the year and shradhha is part of majority movies in there.

Maybe not for acting but she will be remembered for sure.

Shraddha needs something to make it. She needs either a really big hit song or a movie where she does good acting. She has all of the ingredients but nobody is utilizing them.

That isn't true, Shraddha is loved by launde lapade, and her in certain packaging(glamdoll or lover girl to be precise) brings in the audience. Her biggest backdraw has she never worked with the big stars, which movie stars like her require, because acting isn't her forte. And on top of that her career got a set back when she did stupid movies like Rock On 2 and Haseena Parker, when she should be working in masala entertainers. But she is still a viable option for commercial movies .

People watch her in films they want to see her in. She may flop with haseena parker because people dont want to see her those films. at the same time, she is able to rake in numbers for a horrible film like half girlfirend because people like her regardless of how bad the film is as long as she is playing a role suitable for her.

Why didn't kalank do well even though it was on the same level of badness as half girlfriend. cause no one wants to see alia force a deepika padukone.

The only reason why alia brings in #'s for certain films is performance and content orientedness

put alia in an aashiqui 2..and she wouldnt have the same aura or hype as shraddha. lets admit it. all because it is not a role we like to see her in. she can go do a role like udta punjab and people will love it.

IMO, there star power is comparable but for different generes.

but if you ask me, shraddha has got the true mass love.

Alia did 2 States, and Dulhania series, and those were also hits, so this notion that people only want to see her in performance oriented roles and not glam roles is false. Kalank opened at 18-20 ,crores, it was just Alia didn't performed well and movie also was shit, hence it didn't worked, not because, people don't want to see her in glam roles.

I don't classify dulhania series glam. Those roles, the girl next door, like kapoor and sons work for her. People will always prefer to see her in roles where she performs.

She can play character oriented roles, girl next door, etc..

but her pulling off a kalank. is not. done. An aashiqui 2? I would always prefer shraddha despite her average acting skills over an alia. It may be shallow, but the innocence and beauty in the film she had worked for her and no one would do it better than her. And the audience loved her in it as reflected by the numbers.

All I am saying is these comparisons sometime make no sense, they all have their own strengths and the audience will watch accordingly to their strenths.
