Exactly. I had mentioned this a couple days ago, but this is the third track centered around some form of rape, molestation or sex scandal, and they have all happened within a very short period of time. The last track I had seen was the Diwali one where Prachi was being accused, and then when I came back, it's Ranbir's turn. They legit keep recycling all their materials.
The only thing that is keeping me hooked is Krishna's portrayal as Ranbir. I don't care much for Prachi to be honest, as she is very judgmental and I just could not stand her preaching ways when she was initially shown. It was far too much for me to handle. Even now while that behavior has been dialed down, I want to see Krishna/Ranbir's scenes as I find him to be a lot more dynamic than all the other actors. Given the chance, I'm sure they all would as well, but their characters simply aren't written that way so I won't fault them for it. However with Krishna, he literally uses all the space that he's given, and he uses his entire body language to act. Of course, since he's still new he has a lot of areas to work on, but he's doing a fantastic job so far.
In short, I'm in it for Krishna. The day he backs out or his character ends, that's the day I'm out too.
P.S., Zeeshan was fantastic as Aryan in the past few episodes. Whether it was him goofily staring at Ranbir as he danced, and then joining him, or being pissed at Ranbir for caring more about Prachi and her opinion of him rather than the whole family - he was great! I'm glad Ranbir has a brother like Aryan. <3
I agree on prachi's characterisation, but unfortunately I have found with almost all ekta female leads, they are either doormats, dumb or judgmental and preachy, with just a few rare moments of intelligence and strength shown by them. That's it and that's all you can ever really expect from ekta shows and I knew that too hence why I'm not disappointed. it's ranbir's characterisation that is refreshing to me.
He has shown shades of immaturity and naivety and impulsiveness, more so why his character was first introduced. He from beginning till now has been shown as someone who is not judgmental, who is extremely open-minded, is confident and speaks his thoughts loud and clear without fear and is quite intelligent. He isn't hot-tempered and isn't egotistic. There's a lot to admire in ranbir's character, far more than prachi. Krishna is honestly so good and has great screen presence. He's a natural in the comedy scenes especially.
Wish they had made prachi's characterisation more loveable, like for example her short-temper to me is fine and I loved her no-nonsense, feisty attitude when first introduced, however they slowly turned her into someone who is judgmental and preachy. But even there they slightly have now simmered down there too, yet still make her act bossy.
