REAL reason of Chapak's failure ?

Don't want to participate in a thread made by you but since it's DP have to.

It failed because of Meghna's pathetic direction, Deepika's JNU visit, Clash with TanhaJi and also because the subject was too depressing.

Because there is no option for all of the above things I mentioned. A movie doesn't fail because of one reason. But that must be too difficult to understand

Exactly. Everything except Deepika's acting. She's always stellar

DP is the director's actor , she is a good actor if the director knows how to use her and mediocre actor with mediocre director, but I heard and read really nice review about Dp's acting in Chapaak. If mainstream movie lovers in BW are concerned about acting the movie of many mainstream actors would be a failure.

Chapaak failed due to multiple reasons. The trailer was not appealing, after the trailer, there is nothing left for imagination, the story is predictable, the usual captivating elements like suspense, romance, glamour, patriotism none of these elements were in the movie. Besides all this, there was a lot of negativity by the time the film got released. I usually love her movies not because she is a great actress but she does have the star factor. From Bajirao Mastani to Padmavaat I watched all her movies which include Finding Fanny, that too on the first weekend, but Chapaak , I am not sure, I will watch it in the first week if it released in prime or in Netflix.

Weak screenplay. A movie needs to be uplifting , Meghna failed to deliver.
