Arts does not mean movies only. Some folk artists have received Padma for their life time contributions. In Hindi belt, is it only Bollywood which is representing arts?

But this group is specifically targeting Kangana here.I just wanted to know why just her. They could have just complained that their fav hasn't received the honour he deserves as per their thinking. Why go after Kangana for this?Unless there are sub categories and she won for the best actress/actor that he deserved before her, I don't understand the comparison here.

Well the content of Kanganas character is not good. She’s indulged in lots of bad behavior

She doesn't deserve it at all. And I agree with Mages, actors shouldn't get these awards at all....

I think only the big stars from regional cinema get noticed enough to win these. Talking about South:

Mohanlal has a Padma Shri and a Padma Bhushan

Rajnikanth has a Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan

Kamal Haasan has a Padma Shri and a Padma Bhushan

Mammooty has a Padma Shri. They ignored his nomination for Padma Bhushan or Vibhushan last year. BJP aint gonna give him anything, for various reasons.

Padma awards are CIVILIAN AWARDS!!! These are for normal citizens of the country who have done exceptional work in their field of work.

For those who sacrifice for their country, there are GALLANTRY AWARDS!! Heard about Ashok Chakra, Vir Chakra??

Atleast know the real meaning and purpose of these awards before making such ignorant comments that Padma awards should be given to navy and army people. Please educate yourself and see the whole list of the Padma Award winners. It isn't just restricted to entertainment personalities. 🤦🏼‍♂️
