Maybe because the guy was way younger than the girl and they actually showed it in the show. He was only a kid when the girl was already an adult. ITV viewers narrow mindedness.

Yes it had unique strong and the girl was a strong character not like the current itvs.

Yes she married boy who was literally a child because of circumstances. She never considered him her husband and only considered him child. But the boy had started to see her as her husband. Later because he later found that gulaal had forgave the murderer of his brother he was very angry with her and never wanted to even see her face . He was literally torned because he loved her and he couldn't forgive her. He came home only after grownup and still was angry with her. Gulaal thought he hates her as he always behaved rude with her never showing his caring side for her. Later it was revealed (its very long story) to whole family that she had forgave their sons murderer who was changed person and everyone blamed gulaal and told her to get out then only the boy supported her . She initially couldn't saw him as a husband as she considered him as a child even when thee boy pledged him and only later she started to look her as a husband. Its a very good story. The cast was also very fabulous . The family story is also very good. Even the villian (dushyant) was a changed person. He killed his own cousin to get married to gulaal as they had the tradion to marry dewar if husband dies. And knowing his ill intentions gulaal married the boym He later understood he had done grave mistake and was sorry for his entire life. He never married even after his mothet insisted because he knew he had to go to jail one day. Gulaal too forgave her because he was matured later.

It was on the same slot as Pavitra Rista and personally it was far better than the later. It was just sad that people didint like it and it went off air soon. It was later replaced by Diya aur Bati. I only watched pavitra rista after gulaal was off air but left it midway after Arjun Ovi marriage.

I watched gulaal and loved it only because the girl refused to actually acknowledge she's the wife of the boy and instead said that she would look after him as she did before she had to marry him and the moment he reached of age she would get him married to a girl properly.

Yes but I later liked them as a couple too. I think according to the story the boy was about 10 while the girl was 18 so they had gap of 10 years. The girl didn't even considered him as her husband. Only the boy considered her as his wife and he came after 10 years so technically he was 20 while the girl was 28.

However, I have always felt that Kashish love was conditional. She never loved Sujal as much as he loved her. For him, Kashish had always been his first priority while his was the last name in her priority list. That woman was so cruel that she actually gave Sujal the 'good news' that she was pregnant with Piyush's baby. 😡 The pain in sujal's face was so real. 😭 Off course Rajiv is one of the best and my most fav actors. It was so heart touching.

Now i just remembered wasn't Sujal the one who misunderstood her that she loves Piyush? And he was also trying to ruin piyush and his so called girlfriend was the one who actually killed piyush?

😆 At least you were allowed too. I was not even allowed to watch daily soaps till I grew up, except those my mom used to watch so that she can monitor their contents. Apart from Prithvi Sanyo and Rajveer Naina, Sujal Kashish was my fav till Kashish began to display her cruel nature. 😡 I remember I used to watch their scenes on tv chori chupe. Also, it used to come quite late at night. 11 I think.

No mine is also similar. When there was some intimate scenes my mother used to say only married person should watch it. So as an obedient children we used to go to other room. Even now I feel so akward when some intimate scenes come. I won't be able to watch it together even with my siblings.

We had fixed schedule in house to watch tv . Whole day when my mom was at home alone, it was her time, then from 6 to 7 pm ( i think) was our siblings time and we were more interested in cartoons (Cinderella, zorro) than itvs and then my father's time whole night.

I too only used to watch serials that my mother watched. She used to watch the.repeated telecast on the day and fortunately kth used to be televised at around 4 by that time I could return home and watch it what my mom was watching.

Its just sad that such good old times.cant come back😭
