The simple point being that with the opening ranging from 4-5 cr deepika is consider a superstar but alia use to give this much opening in her initial days

3 crore opening and BO verdict was below average/flop.

Opening day depends on star power but there are other factors like genre and music too. Veere was considered a fun film with comedy and had a popular item song like Tareefan. Most movies with female leads are depressing and have boring subjects.

The male stars also just open well when it's the usual masala crap. Salman depends exclusively on it and then the opening is bragged about. Last year Super 30 had only a 11 crore opening and Hrithik/Tiger with War masala had 50 crores.
