I actually read a book where the male lead HATED his father for leaving his mother for another woman.

then he started falling for another girl while he already had a gf. There was so sex but the male lead realized that it is easy to judge until you are in the situation yourself. The heart wants what it wants.

This whole one sided love & seeing one Character doing injustice with their own self for love , sacrificing their self respect for love yet not getting any kind of love in return is Soo freaking toxic & disturbing . It's freaking more depressing to watch than murders or stupid sad stories 🤔
