Chapter 7:-

That night-

The sound of the bullet pierced the grave silence and hit the desired spot.

'Bull's eye! Perfect!' said the shooter, and opened the safety equipments he had worn.

He came out of the shooting range.

Instructor- ' Good job, Rishabh. You are improving day by day.'

Rishabh gave a genuine smile and thanked his instructor.

He gave a smirk and went out.

Bajaj BGM plays in the background.

Prerna was devoid of sleep. She could not stop thinking about Rishabh. She was wondering why was she seeing only his face when she closed her eyes to be calm before the performance.

She went to the window and asked the moon, 'Chaand, can you tell me why am I thinking about him all the time?'

In his room, Anupam is seen dangling from the bed with his phone.

Half of his body is literally hanging in the air and half is on the bed. He is busy talking with Nivedita.

'Yes, Jaan...I will come tomorrow, on time...Don't worry...What? Are you serious? Your Mom will kick me out of your house and life if she comes to know about us!'

'Please Anupam! This is the right time to disclose everything with everyone.'

They cut the call.

'Kar Diya ghotala.' Anupam facepalmed.

'Kya hua Bhaiya?' asked Prerna, coming inside the room.

Prerna was agape to know about Anupam and Nivedita's affair.

She promised to never tell this to anyone, unless they allow her.

Anupam - Tune bataya nhi ki Tu itni Raat ko yahaaan kyun aaya hai. Kuchh hua hai kya? Any problem?

An innocent Prerna told her cousin brother everything. She also told him about her strange feelings for Rishabh.

'Priyu, Tu khud hi answer khoj le.' hiding his smile, Anupam replied.

Lost in her own world of thoughts, Prerna went in her room. She hugged her Teddy and slept.

Meanwhile:-

Offo, Tapur! Yeh nhi chalega! Priyu ko red colour zyada pasand hai...red roses Rakh list mein!

The Basu siblings are busy preparing for Prerna's party.

Mohini - 'Ab chalo sone tum sab!'

Next morning:-

Prerna woke up to hear commotion downstairs.

She sighed and went to the washroom to freshen up.

After getting dressed, she came down.

Much to her amazement, she saw him, feasting on parathas.

' Tum? Tum yahaaan kyun?'

Dadi- 'Pehle bechare ko Khana khatam toh Karne do!'

Humming and muttering something under her breath, Prerna sat down for breakfast.

,Sunn Priyu, aaj hum sab bahar ja rhe Hain. Tu Rishabh ke Saath reh aaj.' said Rajesh.

Prerna was agape.

'Kyun? Kahi na rhe hain Aap sab?'

'Haan. Main, Ma and Veena Suman ke Saath Uske maike ha the Hain.'

'Okay, then!'

Half an hour later.....

'Yeh kahaan laye ho mujhe, Rishabh?'

'My Siyappa Queen, this is the park where we used to play as children, a long time ago, remember?'

'Yes, I remember.' Prerna replied.

Yes, how can she forget? She spent the most beautiful days of her life here. She played here with her siblings and friends.

Their glance fell on some children playing there.

'I miss those days, Rishabh. Look at them. They are in the best phase of their life.'

She waited for his response. But he didn't.

She looked around, but there were no traces of him.

She saw him at a far distance, talking with someone over the phone.

She sighed. A girl saw her sitting on the bench. She took her to their playing area and they began playing...

In the meantime, the scene in Basu Bari:-

The preparation for the party was in full swing.

'Sambhal ke Rohan! Box Matt girana!' Yelled Sid.

' He will surely do a mishap. I am sure!'

'Arrey Yaar! Jaldi Karo sab!' Anurag yelled.

Mohini- 'Thoda rest lo bacchon.'

'Kya Mohini, aaj bhi tum strict ho...'

'Hmph...' Mohini went away.

Komolika- Main aa gyi...Prerna ke dress ko bhi layi hoon...'

Suddenly, smash!

Anurag dropped a box containing flowers on Komolika.

'Prerna....Lunch Karne chalein?'

Prerna nodded positively to Rishabh's question.

They rode in his red hayabusa bike and drove off.

Rishabh was humming a tune while driving the bike when Prerna suddenly shouted, ' Bike ko roko, Rishabh!'

Rishabh got startled and stopped his bike.

'Kya hua, is anything wrong, Prerna?'

'Woh Dekho... Durga Mandir...Yaad hai, bachpan mein hum sab yaahan aate thay?' Prerna smiled and said.

Rishabh sighed and denied to join her in the Mandir.

'Kyun? Tum Mandir kyun nhi jaoge?'

'I don't believe in God now.' replied Rishabh...

'Huh?'

'Rishabh doesn't believe in God now, Prerna. He has an awful past....' thought Rishabh and smiled slightly.
