People think doing light subtle comedy is easy. Most of the top stars will shit on screen in doing so.

I doubt anybody thinks that....I have heard every top actor- bollywood, hollywood, admitting that comedy is the most difficult genre to enact....

Ayushman also does only one type of movie - small town / middle class guy . He will also exhaust soon.

Ranvir is the front runner . Varun can catchup with 3D dancer .

I cannot imagine him doing a Simmbaa or a YJHD or a DDD... The day he gives a hit in those kind off roles i will consider him at par with RS and RK

I think Ayushman is kind of above Ranbir now anyway? Ranbir is past expiry more or less.

He has one schtick like most of these new actors. Won't be enough to beat Ranveer.

Ayushmann has experienced in masala genre, dream girl was masala movie. I don't know people go on complaining that ayushmann is a average actor, he was brilliant in anandhun and had a very good potential from his starting movie. In dream girl he was absolutely a entertainer. I would any day go to ayushmann movie over ranbir / ranveer movie. What is wrong if ayushmann picks up a script which he thought could be good , I don't think any other actor is forced not to pick a good script.

Ayushmann definitely is not just an average actor- not to the majority anyway.....Choosing good scripts is not the only thing for one has to be convincing as well to be able to sell that script successfully to the audience that too again and again! He is yet to act in a event/big budget film and make it profitable...The day he does it, that is the day a producer is willing to invest that kind of money on his movie, he will be reckoned amongst the biggies!

I like Ranveer as much as most other regular BW watching peeps and find RK a reasonable actor for the Hindi movie industry. But this quoted post is such incredibly topsy turvy condition to put up there.

A Simmba or a DDD is much easier to market compared to Ayushman's masala movies. Actually, Bala got good opening only because it was an Ayushman movie whereas Simmba worked because of Rohit Shetty/RS combo, and Sanju because of RKH/controversy.

I'd go as far as to say RS/RK need to do a Bala or SMS and make them hits before they can be considered on par with Ayushman. No controversies, no big name directors, no big budgets. Let RS and RK try it. Show us the RoI and not the hype.

Ayushman has also done Article 15 and Andhadhun which RS/RK might be able to do but haven't.

As of today, yeah, Ayushman is ahead of his contemporaries. And I hope he stays away from big budget nonsense low in content.
