My 2 cents

About Rudra:

I think his past relationship was a passionate relationship full of sparks. It's going the same way with Maya. Once a person has got a taste of a passionate roller coaster relationship, he subconsciously gets attracted to same kinds of feelings. That feeling is often like alcohol, you know it could harm but still you get dragged into it. But the problem with that kind of relationship is, often that spark becomes a hellfire and burns the person alive. That's what happened to Rudra in the past.

Today when Maya didn't open the door, what Rudra felt was a second glimpse of that hellfire which he tried to forget for so long. It felt like a volcano awakening again and he ran for a comfort shelter. A cold safe place where there is no spark, no emotional roller coaster and no unpredictability-----just a calm, old, light and breezy comfort zone. And that's what Ananya is to him.

He is feeling like ---- enough with the passion, enough with the confusion, enough with the pain, not everyone is made for a relationship like that and he is certainly not lucky enough ! And that's why he ran back to the comfort zone and he has currently no intention of getting out of it ever. And as Maya didn't open the door, he thinks his feelings are one sided, or worse Maya is just making fun of his feelings and playing some game. So he doesn't have any expectations of Maya coming in his life and that's why no reason to leave Ananya. So in his mind, he is making a logical decision. But he has doubts and he tried to share it with his best friend. But his best friend was too busy in her denial zone to listen to his words.

About Ananya:

I think she knew in her heart that if she had listened to Rudra's past and reasoning, both of them would arrive to their right senses and her little bubble would burst. Right now she is on top of that swing which Rudra mentioned. She subconsciously knows she will be in the ground in no time. But for now she just wants to enjoy the top view she had been waiting to reach for so long. But once she is out of her denial, I hope she gains back the maturity and practicality we loved in her character.

I hated the Mayazaal pinch. As if her feelings are serious feelings, but Rudra's feelings are dumb infatuation and has only succumbed to Maya's seduction. Which is true for Rishi. But I didn't like that pinch on Rudra, specially from Ananya.

Rudra is too scared out of his comfort zone.. Ananya knows that it's not right thing to do but she wants to enjoy her momentary happiness..i dont blame her .. post the happiness will be the realisation to help Rudra.. only Ananya can push him out of his shell to face love again..

Yes I loved the potrayal of the Ruan scene. The way Rudra spoke, he himself explained everything about what was going through his mind.

That swing metaphor seemed like a foreshadowing on Ananya. And somehow Ananya too felt it and right now she is not ready to let go of that swing. She is a diabetic who just wants to taste the sweet right now ! She is too vulnerable to think about tomorrow. Rudra is too vulnerable to stay out in the forest and wants to be inside the tornedo proof bunker.

And as Maya didn't open the door, he thinks his feelings are one sided, or worse Maya is just making fun of his feelings and playing some game. So he doesn't have any expectations of Maya coming in his life and that's why no reason to leave Ananya. - I mean why didnt he assume that Maya was out and her phone died or something. Why do people reach to such conclusions? He just left and proposed ananya. Very impulsive!

@stromborn- agree ..totally! Rudra is probably experiencing the same kinda attraction n raw passion with Maya like he had experienced the first time he was in love.. he has been trying hard to keep a check on emotions if we look at how he was been around Maya in the episodes leading upto the one we saw yesterday.. it was Maya, advancing on him, seducing him if I may say so.. with all her compliments, teasing and eye flirting.. then purposefully making him jealous by hugging Rishi.. then the kiss happened.. he gave in after a lot of struggle.. he was unsure about how to deal with it, how to face Maya, how she will react.. there was understandably so much panic, confusion.. he doesn't deem himself fit to be loved by a woman.. again.. he thinks he is not fit for someone like Maya..his self confidence is just not there and when she didnt respond to him, all that fear and insecurity came to the forefront.. I understand him turning to Ananya for comfort.. but I still dont get his decision to propose him.. Distancing himself from Maya would have made so much more sense.. but I guess they had to throw in an engagement track for drama.. that's how daily soaps work..

About Anaya, I agree with you 100%.. that swing analogy is perfect in her case.. I am disappointed but I understand her..

I agree it's very impulsive.

But he was already in a very vulnerable state of mind.

Plus he knows how Maya is about touch. How she reacts even if the finger touches and there they had a full waist grabbing neck gripping liplock. So that moment, he was 90% sure that Maya might have been hating him or worse, thinking him as a characterless guy who couldn't control himself. With each knock Maya didn't open, that storm in his mind, that turmoil kept indicating towards the certainty of Maya's hate towards him. He had to be real optimistic or rather delusional to think Maya weren't home. That would have sounded as a self consolation even to his own mind.

Plus that optimism would have opened a door to more expectations i.e. more heart break. And he is not ready for that. Going back to her door took too much of courage for him, specially after kissing a touch-phobic woman, specially after scolding Rishi about the integrity of a man. but after the door remained closed, he was like a sailor in a storm crazily searching for a safe land.

I too am not very certain about it. May be it was like when a depressed person curls into a fetal position into the comfort of a blanket and doesn't want to get out ever, may be Ananya was that blanket.

May be he couldn't handle any more rejection and wanted to feel accepted.

But then he felt something was wrong with what was happening and tried to share with Ananya ( that moment he wanted her as his best friend with whom he could share his agony). But the problem is Ananya was scared to enter the friendzone again and shut him up.

I somehow liked that the character of Rudra is not absolutely perfect and can make grave mistakes during emotional vulnerability. That makes him more humane. But I don't want him to continue with this folly for long for what he did in his lost senses. That would be some unforgivable immaturity. And I hope Ananya gets her senses back soon and this track doesn't get dragged. I really wanted to love her character but it's getting harder with each episode. She is this close to turning out another ITV best-friend-in-love cliche.

@red- I get what you' r saying.. and that's the only benefit of doubt I can give to Rudra.. though one could argue that knowing how Ananya feels about him, he should be certain of an acceptance from her end.. Maybe its the way Rudra and Ananya have been portrayed so far, that makes it difficult for us to comprehend their actions when they act out of character.. but yes, flawed characters are more real.. and its human to be selfish..to make mistakes.. Rudra was selfish in proposing marriage to Ananya when he knows he can not love her the way she deserves to be loved.. and Ananya too was selfish in only hearing what she wanted to hear.. the rest, the reason didn't matter to her..

Yesterday, after I saw the precap, I was pretty pissed at Rudra if not furious. Because I thought he wouldn't be honest with Ananya and she wouldn't get a chance.

But in the episode, Ananya should have acted more sensibly because Rudra was clearly going through something. He was messed up, teary eyed and could easily be seen that he wasn't in his right mind.

At that moment, the responsibility of showing maturity and sensibility was more in Ananya's hand. I am not saying Rudra was not at fault. I am saying they are equally at fault and whatever heartbreak Ananya has to face in future, she herself has it coming. Specially after Rudra tried twice to tell her about the kiss and his impulsiveness, but she didn't listen.

Denial always sets a person for a bigger fall. If one is not strong enough to break through denial soon, She is bound to fall hard into a rocky concrete !!!!!

I too am feeling scared that their characters are gonna get ruined. I just hope they don't become Neel and Mitali from NK.
