In it Ayan was gay and he secretly loved Krishna. It was penned beutifully.

On a serious note, actually I too have read this story. It's also said that putana took away Rukmini but she landed on a lotus in Barsana. Vrishvan raised her after that. I thought they might show it here until a different girl other than Mallika was casted as Rukmini. But so did i think about the brahm vivah. Expected it until kans vadh. But it happened after that and then it was a dream

So knowing them, the Rukmini being Radha story can still happen. 🤷
