So, tonight's episode was like a can of worms to me. The more you open it, the more things come out in the open. Whether Maya opening more about herself to Rudra, Rishi coming to know about Maya "the star writer", Rudra hyper-ventilating at his close proximity with Maya, or Ananya registering the fact that Rudra and Maya are becoming something more than they presently are.
The Printer Scene - Special mention to this MayRa scene, as it had a galore of symbolism. The scene was like Rudra and Maya are printed to be together, just like in the books they publish. First Maya was pursuing him, and Rudra was backing off, but he fell and then Maya was forced to fall because of Rudra, their fingers intertwined with Rudra's fingers gripping Maya's fingers after she tripped on him. This symbolised that Maya will pursue Rudra for the sake of her revenge, with Rudra running away like he is doing now. But ultimately he does give in, but he will not fall alone, he will also pull Maya along in his love, even if Maya will try not to. And when she does, Rudra will not let her go away. Going by the latest promo, Rudra and Maya may give in to their emotions and Rudra may back off, leaving Maya confused between her heart and mind. She may start avoiding Rudra and revert back to being stern again, but this time Rudra will push into her space with full force that Maya will have no choice but to relent. Before Maya was pursuing Rudra, now it will be the opposite.
Rudra's struggle - So the episode continues with Rudra's tussle with his feelings. The more he gets to know more about the 'real' Maya, the more his heart wants her. And since his heart wants the real Maya, the more he becomes aware of the real beauty of Maya - just when he says with his eyes closed to go away and tie her hair. Maya's mysterious aura could lure in Rishi, but it can only annoy Rudra as he is a very truth and fact-oriented person, based on his previous experience with a woman. So the real Maya - the one who feels for underserved people, who loves her mom to death, who has endured the loss of her family is what has drawn him in. His head has becomes set in a way, that love will be the death of him, but his heart does not understand that. As Maya puts it to Rajiv, ye dil ke khel hai aur dil koi hadh nahi pehchanta. So the more he is trying to run away from Maya, the more he is feeling drawn to her. Maya is beginning to understand this and so is fanning that fire further, but not without burning herself, because the mind can plan everything, but it cannot plan for her heart which is also getting affected by Rudra and his closeness. She can convince herself all she wants, but she is also affected by Rudra.
Maya's story - An author always brings characters to life, but Maya is someone who has brought a story to life with real characters. Maya is an author who writes thrillers, and her latest story is, well about herself. Surprisingly, no one really questioned her too much about her story, but Rudra did. Rudra knows that whatever Maya does or the way she acts have a reason behind that, so naturally, he understood that there must be a reason behind the darkness of her female protagonist. She elucidates her character, describing the part of herself who she has supposedly buried because she feels there isn't any hope for her anymore. But Rudra feels that usually people look for happy endings and her character too could find the right person in her life. But Maya quite aptly questions him that is he ready to fall in love again, as he is telling her? But Rudra chooses not to answer the same. But isn't Maya right here? The person who himself isn't ready to give love another chance is asking her to give love a chance. Maya gets it that Rudra's reason for his pain is his love, but does Rudra too get the same? Does he somewhere understand that the person she speaks of is she herself? A point worth mentioning is Rudra always seems to understand the meaning behind Maya's words and actions and Maya always finds herself inadvertently revealing bits and parts of herself to Rudra, as if its rather easy for her to be herself before Rudra.
Rishi's questions - Well everyone, I must give it to him, he is sharp and intelligent and he is not to be taken lightly. Slowly slowly, he begins putting two and two together and begins questioning his brother about her. He even deduces her to be the sanki who attacked Rudra. I mean he is a 'mini-brilliance' Mrityunjay Roy in the making. It was good to see this new shade of Rishi and not portray him to be as naive and dumb as shown initially. Not just Rudra, but Maya has to proceed with caution in Rishi's case also. Both these brothers are very sharp and Maya should not underestimate them anyway. But I believe that Maya must have taken this into consideration. It is very dumb of her if she failed to consider these glitches in her game of revenge. I don't like it that she is always caught by surprise - be it Mrityunjay or Rishi. I want a more prepared Maya. These kinds of instances just raise doubts on how Maya is clever if she does not have cover for these minor jolts.
Precap - It is quite interesting to note that Mrityunjay has an inkling that Rajiv is not alone in this game. But would like to see how resilient is Rajiv, and whose name he takes. Maya is prepared to answer Rishi's questions, but how? Will Rishi be injured or will Maya get injured saving Rishi? Let us watch out for tomorrow because it looks like Rishi will soon be quite and his queries will receive apt answers from Maya.
So I am done with my ramblings. Would love to hear your thoughts. And Happy New Year in advance people.😊
