So, tonight's episode was like a can of worms to me. The more you open it, the more things come out in the open. Whether Maya opening more about herself to Rudra, Rishi coming to know about Maya "the star writer", Rudra hyper-ventilating at his close proximity with Maya, or Ananya registering the fact that Rudra and Maya are becoming something more than they presently are.

The Printer Scene - Special mention to this MayRa scene, as it had a galore of symbolism. The scene was like Rudra and Maya are printed to be together, just like in the books they publish. First Maya was pursuing him, and Rudra was backing off, but he fell and then Maya was forced to fall because of Rudra, their fingers intertwined with Rudra's fingers gripping Maya's fingers after she tripped on him. This symbolised that Maya will pursue Rudra for the sake of her revenge, with Rudra running away like he is doing now. But ultimately he does give in, but he will not fall alone, he will also pull Maya along in his love, even if Maya will try not to. And when she does, Rudra will not let her go away. Going by the latest promo, Rudra and Maya may give in to their emotions and Rudra may back off, leaving Maya confused between her heart and mind. She may start avoiding Rudra and revert back to being stern again, but this time Rudra will push into her space with full force that Maya will have no choice but to relent. Before Maya was pursuing Rudra, now it will be the opposite.

Rudra's struggle - So the episode continues with Rudra's tussle with his feelings. The more he gets to know more about the 'real' Maya, the more his heart wants her. And since his heart wants the real Maya, the more he becomes aware of the real beauty of Maya - just when he says with his eyes closed to go away and tie her hair. Maya's mysterious aura could lure in Rishi, but it can only annoy Rudra as he is a very truth and fact-oriented person, based on his previous experience with a woman. So the real Maya - the one who feels for underserved people, who loves her mom to death, who has endured the loss of her family is what has drawn him in. His head has becomes set in a way, that love will be the death of him, but his heart does not understand that. As Maya puts it to Rajiv, ye dil ke khel hai aur dil koi hadh nahi pehchanta. So the more he is trying to run away from Maya, the more he is feeling drawn to her. Maya is beginning to understand this and so is fanning that fire further, but not without burning herself, because the mind can plan everything, but it cannot plan for her heart which is also getting affected by Rudra and his closeness. She can convince herself all she wants, but she is also affected by Rudra.

Maya's story - An author always brings characters to life, but Maya is someone who has brought a story to life with real characters. Maya is an author who writes thrillers, and her latest story is, well about herself. Surprisingly, no one really questioned her too much about her story, but Rudra did. Rudra knows that whatever Maya does or the way she acts have a reason behind that, so naturally, he understood that there must be a reason behind the darkness of her female protagonist. She elucidates her character, describing the part of herself who she has supposedly buried because she feels there isn't any hope for her anymore. But Rudra feels that usually people look for happy endings and her character too could find the right person in her life. But Maya quite aptly questions him that is he ready to fall in love again, as he is telling her? But Rudra chooses not to answer the same. But isn't Maya right here? The person who himself isn't ready to give love another chance is asking her to give love a chance. Maya gets it that Rudra's reason for his pain is his love, but does Rudra too get the same? Does he somewhere understand that the person she speaks of is she herself? A point worth mentioning is Rudra always seems to understand the meaning behind Maya's words and actions and Maya always finds herself inadvertently revealing bits and parts of herself to Rudra, as if its rather easy for her to be herself before Rudra.

Rishi's questions - Well everyone, I must give it to him, he is sharp and intelligent and he is not to be taken lightly. Slowly slowly, he begins putting two and two together and begins questioning his brother about her. He even deduces her to be the sanki who attacked Rudra. I mean he is a 'mini-brilliance' Mrityunjay Roy in the making. It was good to see this new shade of Rishi and not portray him to be as naive and dumb as shown initially. Not just Rudra, but Maya has to proceed with caution in Rishi's case also. Both these brothers are very sharp and Maya should not underestimate them anyway. But I believe that Maya must have taken this into consideration. It is very dumb of her if she failed to consider these glitches in her game of revenge. I don't like it that she is always caught by surprise - be it Mrityunjay or Rishi. I want a more prepared Maya. These kinds of instances just raise doubts on how Maya is clever if she does not have cover for these minor jolts.

Precap - It is quite interesting to note that Mrityunjay has an inkling that Rajiv is not alone in this game. But would like to see how resilient is Rajiv, and whose name he takes. Maya is prepared to answer Rishi's questions, but how? Will Rishi be injured or will Maya get injured saving Rishi? Let us watch out for tomorrow because it looks like Rishi will soon be quite and his queries will receive apt answers from Maya.

So I am done with my ramblings. Would love to hear your thoughts. And Happy New Year in advance people.😊

Happy New Year!!! Beautiful post🤗

I was smiling through today's episode. So many unexpected/expected things happened..

Of the unexpected thing - right at the top is Rudra asking about the characters past and Maya revealing the journey without giving out specifics. It is an ode to how good Rudra is in reading Maya that he offered her hope but Maya being Maya discouraged it. Rudra showed his commitment when he said he will find SOMEONE when she said he can't find Maya in the book. Will that someone be the real Maya? Foreshadow galore.

Maya then asked him if he can love again and hit his weakness but he avoided answering it. Tells me one day this question will have to be answered by Rudra if he truly wants to attain Maya. Darr ko chor do, beyhadh ho jao!

Of the expected thing- Rishi at RuAn. I mean come on, Maya had to have expected this. Rishi is a spoilt brat who is making efforts but there is a limit to his ability to make these efforts. Unlike Rudra who opted for the stairs at construction site aka hardwork, Rishi would want a lift aka shortcuts. I am hoping Maya pulls a rabbit out of the hat and handles Rishi well enough.

Now coming to the scanner scene. Love the symbolism. Actually in Bengali wedding we have tradition of newly wed bride putting imprint of hands dipped in red alta on the wall of her in laws house. It is symbolic of fertility and prosperity.

Here MayRa version of hand imprint has both MayRa and I feel symbolically represents them being a prosperous couple who could be a family for each other. But again, the color of the print is black so it's not going to be easy.

Phew what a perfect new year epi it was...

Starting with Maya 2 chapters and Rudra questions.. he is going to ask questions till he gets an answer.. the prince charming that Maya wanted back then will be fulfilled by Rudra.. but then does he want to be the prince ?? I loved those cross questions... MayRa both are running from love and love is actually running right behind them.. the story will complete either as per Rudra with a happy ending or as per maya which is not a happy ending.. a good cliffhanger that the makers put the viewers into..

MayRa might be playing here.. but their emotions are real.. maya talking about her past to Rudra.. he understood that's it's not the character alone... and many of these moments will put Maya story in place for Rudra..

I love that MayRa are both hurt in love and dont want that feeling again..but heart is something else..it will take u to that feeling wether u want or not.. here the fight of acceptance is the most beautiful thing between them.. when they decide to let their heart rule, the back story will play its game..

Coming to rishi.. Rudra will always be standing in front of Maya for everyone.. he did not let rishi handshake even.. unknowingly Rudra is actually possessive about Maya.. rishi will either become another MJ trying to control Maya or he will let his brother go ahead.. we have to see..

Lastly the Xerox scene..the machine wasnt even working for Ananya.. maya kept pushing it to Rudra since yesterday.. and finally she fell on him.. it's kind of symbolic that even if Maya will push Rudra, she will fall in love with him.. Rudra will hold her support her and let their hands hold one another for good...

Lastly I just wanna appreciate Jen and shivin.. they have made MayRa such a starkling pair seriously their chemistry cant be even expressed..

Hi Sohini! Happy New Year once again smiley31

Wonderful post 👏 Actually I intended to reply sooner, but I ended up updating my dialogues thread for about 5-6 episodes altogether. 2 are still left. smiley36 (New Year pe off tha. 😆 I dunno if I am allowed to give the link on this thread.. But do have a look in that thread, if you are interested) But I decided to write here first, because I was too excited to share what I thought.

I like how you compare the episode: like a can of worms. It gives me a whole new perspective. Because for me there are endless talks of 'endings' throughout the episode. Ending of a novel, Maya ending the 'character', MJ Roy's son's ending and Maya's Rishi's beginning, the end of Maya's lies to Rishi: because of the revelation, the end of RuAn because MayRa is beginning. Actually every ending is leading to a new starting, a new story. Also each ending is happening because of a new revelation.

And the theme of ending extends to the net episode as well. (I'll write again in your new thread discussing other things) Maya Jaisingh is a writer. Naive Maya used to believe in fairy tales and romance novels, and they were all proved farce with time and people (her prince charming). Now the new Maya is driven by revenge. 8 long years of careful planning has got her where she is. She is writing a story of revenge now, to extract the price of all her sufferings. Is all this bade aukat aur chote sapne? Is this the end of her original revenge plan?

Because one step MJ, trapping Rajeev and one step of fate, Rishi seeing MayRa together, and her plan begins to crumble under the weight of reality. I am glad to see that she has the capacity to change gears of her plans when faced with a real life challenge. I don't want her to give up so soon, because in her own words: jinke kadam dagmagate hai unki to koi manzil hi nahi hoti hai.

Both Rishi and Rudra are drawn by elusive nature of Maya. She approached Rishi from behind, tying rope in his neck. So he doesn't know her real face, only what she claims or tells him. Rishi wants to possess her. In case of Rudra, he wants to read its story and Maya approached him from front. He is all flustered when he sees glimpses of her reality. But what happens when her plan ends to begin another plan. It would be interesting to see how Maya spins her new Mayajaal in a new path in mind. Will she stop approaching and let them approach?
