Alia To Sweep Awards 2020 - Gully Boy

I just watched Mission Manglik and I found nothing great in Vidya Balan's performance, It was strictly okay and nothing great. Award shows wont award Kangana

So there is literally no choice but only Alia Bhatt. Nobody else haas done anything special or noteworthy. Shes going to take all of the awards for Gully Boy even though shes just there as a supporting actress she'll get upgraded to BA!

What a way to begin a new decade, if Alia can win for Gully Boy then she certainly will win for SLB's Gangabhen too!

This is gonna happen whether we like it or not.

It will be laughable seriously. The industry spoke against Kabir Singh for being violent and aggressive and lauded Sakina for the same behaviour.

So having cat fights with other girls and breaking bottles on people's heads is considered worth awarding.

I dont want Alia to win but I have to diagree with what you are saying.

Alia would be awarded for her acting and same with Shahid if he wins. They are not winning because of their characters actions and Alia winning does not have anything to with the characters moral compass.

What if I said Ranbir shouldnt have won for Sanju because it promotes having 300 girlfriends or doing drugs? Or Deepika shouldnt have won for Ram Leela because it promotes suicide?

One observation is I bet Super 30 is not nominated anywhere but War is.

Kabir Singh might not win anything other than music but I think it’ll get nominated

Then again Good Newz has some momentum. Akshay and Kareena might walk away with it

I am trying to say the same thing. The industry is ignoring KS even though Shahid was fabulous and flawless in the role. On the other hand Sakina is being lauded even though she was a toxic character too. And in the previous year it was Sanju. Agar toxicity se problem hai toh sabko ignore karo, ye double standards kya hai.

In my opinion Alia was not the best this year but then there is no other actress other than Vidya probably. Maybe Kareena performed well in Good Newwz but idk man.
