1. Bahubali 2 : The Conclusion (Telugu) : 1115 Crores

2. Bahubali : The Beginning (Telugu) : 418 Crores

3. 2.0 (Tamil) : 413 Crores

4. Dangal (Hindi) : 387 Crores

5. Avengers : Endgame (English) : 367 Crores

Only Bollywood film in top 5 is Dangal which is in the fourth position.

Also it has been three consecutive years with all top grossing films in India being from other industries and not Bollywood.

2018 : 2.0 (Tamil)

2019 : Avengers : Endgame (English)

So is Bollywood still the leading film industry in India?

Bollywood has degraded majorly in quality. The only thing producers and music labels want to do is earn quick money with mediocre quality. There are a few good ones here and there but nothing much.

Other regional cinema is doing much better than Bollywood in terms of content and story. Hollywood audience has mainly moved to Netflix. The only films that do great in theatres are the MCU films and the kiddie movies like Frozen.

That being said regional cinema does not get nationwide releases like Bollywood and the occasional Hollywood films like MCU, Frozen, DCEU, Fast n Furious franchise types.

Bollywood might not have the most impact (even BOI success) but it still has more reach in India.

Popularity of Bollywood will always be there. But it's alarming how it has ran out of original ideas. I think it will always be relevant but no one would take it seriously.

Isnt Prabas now doing movies in Hindi and his other language. When are the Bollywood actors gonna shoot Tamil or Telegu 🤣
