It's actually both, Maya will fall for him, but the day he finds out that she is against his Mother and brother, he won't be able to love her again, hence nafrat to some extent.

And her hurting RuShi isnt making sense, atleast to me, becuase initially I thought it was because MJ loves them, but he doesn't love them, he controls them, so what does shy get by breakinh the two to such an extent, and if Rishi gets hurt beyond repair, Rudra will lose his head(and heart)

Oh my gosh! I have the cutest memory associated with that scene. So I had a friend and she had her heart broken and she wanted to watch feel good movies, I recommended this one because she wasn’t into Hindi movies and it was her first time, that scene made her cry for an hour apparently because she felt it in her bones and I remember her calling me and being mad for making her cry and think of him 😂😂😂
