There is a possibility that lot of you won't agree to the title but hear me out before you decide.
Preeta is shown as a very compassionate, emotional girl who is also an elder sister to srishti. She is not only srishti's confidant but also a motherly figure for a very long time. She has a forgiving nature and tremendous patience for people she loves.
What we generally forget is, women (or men) are not born strong and independent. They grow to become this. They evolve. And it's not an overnight thing. Nor does it have a theory book that you read it and bam , you are strong. In reality , we do give people and relationships numerous chances before calling it quit. And even when we call it quit , there's always a history related to that person and there's no delete button.
Women , whether anyone agrees to it or not have more emotional quotient than men and there's nothing *not feminist* about it. That's how psychology works and I am glad cvs are maintaining that with her.
It's easier to get mad at someone who is not standing for herself but it's important to remember that the girl first was brutally betrayed by her best friend. She later realised she was in love with him and then on her marriage day, the same best friend confessed his love for her, married her and promised to stay with her forever and she believed him will all his heart! It's unfathomable what she went through when Karan dumped her on road in the middle of the night , just like that! With no mistake of hers! It is not something that small to forget in a week or two! It's so massive that it took her a day to even register what has happened!!
Preeta 's mind and heart had to first accept that she had been betrayed in the worst possible manner by the man she once called her best friend. It doesn't even occur to stand for yourself immediately. You dont just backspace the feelings *even after this*. That happens gradually. And preeta too , has gradually started to actually distance herself from him emotionally. Had she done this right after that night, it would have been to unnatural.
Now with every action Karan is doing, preeta 's need to fight and hold her self respect is increasing and it's so subtle that I want to applaud for CVS for keeping this in mind.
With each passing day, preeta's stand for herself is becoming firm, karan's need for her is also increasing and it's balanced really well.
I hope cvs won't destroy this by making Karan preeta the couple too soon , if not ever.
