coming to our topic----

1. baby - 2nd last in my priority list -

Yes-> 20%, No-> 80%.

Even in that 20----> I am more prone to adoption.

2. Marriage - last in priority list

Yes-> 1%, No-> 99%

Even in that 1----atleast 2 years successful live-in relationship before tying the knot.

Wedding (If)----> expenditure as less as possible and without parental help. Weddings are investments with zero returns. Doesn't make sense plus I hate gold jewellery, heavy attire and being the center of attention.

Finding any guy who supports this PLUS who respects me as a woman------well we can easily blur that 1% 😆

Conclusion: MARRIAGE IS NOT MY CUP OF TEA. PERIOD.

Once upon a time I used to think about adoption. I always wanted a baby girl but with the passage of time,I realized it would be hard raising a child being a single mother. Of course not impossible but then again the most important factor is life ! The uncertainty of life is something I don't have much faith in. An untimely death can destory a lot of things. With all these factors in view, I gave up on this.

Well girl, such an understanding guy is hard to find but I'll pray for you. Love often comes into our lives unexpectedly.😉

I was a reading a book titled "Calling Sehmat" based on the true story of an Indian female spy. Alia Bhatt played the role in Raazi movie. In the book, Sehmat had a boyfriend named Abhinav(i guess). That man was one gem of a person. I wish they had shown him in the movie but maybe the real abby didn't want to disclose his identity. Abby and Sehmat's love remained incomplete.😭 Abby also remained unmarried and adopted Sehmat's son and raised him. He never forced his feelings on Sehmat and without any expectations dedicated his entire life to her.

Back when I was emotionally not so strong and the prospect of an arranged marriage used to trouble me, I wanted a hubby like Bhojraj,the hubby of Meerabai. Someone who will understand my love for my beloved.😆

God ! I've been romanticizing tragedy and separation since time immemorial.

The adoption will be considerable only if life gets too lonely (a kid that needs help from a motherly figure is a better option than a grown up man who needs help from a motherly figure and expects that from me ). My plan is to work on weekdays and travel on weekends, so hardly any time to be lonely. But still we never know !

If that kid already has nothing to lose, then even if I die, s/he will be at worst get back to square one and at best I would be able to pre arrange something in case of an untimely death. But if I don't die, both of us can get a family and find solace in each other. Of course this is a far away fantasy and can only happen if I can ever financially reach that place.

@teal: believe it or not, it's way more likely for you to find love than me. You are romantic (first condition for romance), I can see your emotional quotient is pretty high and most importantly you believe in love. I am not even sure whether love is the real thing or it's just a game of hormones like serotonin, dopamine etc..
