Why Chhichhore didn't help Sushant?

Chhichhore ended up being a bigger grosser than any Ayushmann or Kartik movie but still it wasn't enough for Sushant to make a comeback? Why people don't support Sushant like they support Ayushmann, Kartik, Vicky and Rajkumar Rao? He's as good actor as them and also an outsider(which Vicky isn't) then why not?

Seems like a PR problem. Shraddha somehow got more mileage out of Chichore than him

The movie worked because of its content. He was good in the movie, but not the reason behind its success. Also, he hardly has any star power.
