So Prakash is completely wrong. He has patched up with a friend who completely destroyed him and his family mainly Yogi who took so much time to recover. Pari had been there with Yogi through ALL of this and to even listen to Pari's parents even though they humilated him and family. He talks about not knowing if Pari will turn of them, but how can he be so certain Shiv won't do it AGAIN!

I hate how he talks about seeing Shiv broken, but then I think you also saw your own family broken. How does the pain of shiv outweigh the pain of his family especially when he recieved the major blow. Kusum told him, it was Shiv who broke the bond and he still he is this adamant on helping a man who betrayed him and ruined his reputation. Talking about reputation, it was Pari who for the sake of this family, his family she agreed to sit the proposal. She ensured this family would celebrate Diwali as they almost didn't because the money was used Yogi's wedding, so the rich folks can feel welcome. Pari stayed with the family through dark times even when she repeatedly told to stay out of the family matters. He talks about Yogi-Pari not lasting long yet he hasn't seen the love between them and he thinks a second marriage with Gunjan will last, who broke his heart repeatedly. He said, "Pari won't be able to adjust within Yogi's life." Yet she learnt a whole new language for his sake out of love for him, she'd do anything for him but never will she hurt and break him like Gunjan did. Remember she was the first person to witness Yogi's pain and she hardly knew Yogi as much compared to his family who couldn't see behind his smile. She knows him better then most of them including himself. He better apologise and respect Pari, after she has done and for who she is. She severed all ties with her parents for Yogi and Prakash can't even see where his Yogi's heart lies.

Prakash spoke about how can they think the way Shiv did (Shiv's mentality), so mind the fact Prakash knows Shiv wasn't right. Anyway there is a huge difference in what Shiv did and what they are proposing (to break the promise). Back then, YoGun was in love and had a painful impact but know the only person who will truly be hurt is Prakash and possibly Shiv yet even a man as bad as Shiv knows the circumstamces have changed. On the same line, Prakash has Shiv's mentality by forcing Yogi to be with Gunjan, thats what Shiv did with Gunjan. Regardless of a good intention, hurting those around in the name of good makes you sick, willing to hurt people for bit of good.

Prakash has honestly become delusional and irrational. He see right as wrong and vive versa. Just to play hero, he ended up breaking apart his family. With Kusum just merely doing her duty as wife, his two elder sons against him including their wives, his father can't bear to look at his face and Yogi not even able to dictate his own life.

Few things to clear. Completely against Prakash trying to make all the decisions here, forcing decisions. Being very insensitive and rude for sure. I am not supporting what Pakya is doing but I wouldn't say he is being delusional or irrational. In fact he is the one thinking practically now.

We have seen how much Pari has cared for Yogi. We have seen her console him, trying to put sense in him, seen her cry for her. What has Prakash seen of YoRi? Pure friendship. Teasing and fighting and nothing else. Learning sign language- SurBab knows it too. Pakya thinks of Pari as part of SurBab gang and that YoRi has misunderstood their friendship to be love? Not a wrong thought. Pari has been in the house for 6 months, out of which more than half the time Yogi was engaged to Gunjan. His thought that Pari might leave and might not be able to adjust in a committed relationship isn't wrong either. I don't think YoRi themselves have thought about it. Pari's mom's words can't be ignored by him. It was directed at him. Why shouldn't he believe her? Again, he doesn't have all the info that we as viewers have, or Yogi has. He doesnt want Yogi to be belittled by Pari in course of their marriage.

As for Shiv jaap, it is indeed very irritating. But again, he is seeing his friend bearing the brunt of his mistakes. He understands Shiv because he is a father of a special child too. Prakash comes across rude because he isn't sugar coating the fact that Yogi is indeed a special guy. And that plays a huge role in relationships. He feels Gunjan might understand his son better, might be able to adjust better. He doesn't want to become Shiv and choose Pari over Gunjan because Pari is normal.

The only major point he is missing is Yogi doesn't love Gunjan anymore. Set aside YoRi. Yogi has no feelings for Gunjan. So Pakya forcing this marriage on this basis makes no sense. He believed Yogi was still in love with Gunjan, which isn't the case here.

The main problem behind Pakya being so stubborn here is because he is ignorant of any happenings in the house. He isn't in the house most of the time and Bro gang keeps things within themselves.

I wish for two things-

1. Pakya calming down and thinking about Yogi saying he loves Pari a lot.

2. YoRi ignoring Bro gang's idea and trying to talk to Pakya, explain their love to him and that they are serious about it. At least try doing it.

I agree with shweta on this....

He is not wrong .... But the way he spoke and shiv jaap was just too much.......

Let give him sometime.. He will come around...

He needs to see how Yogi and pari balance, understand, care for each others needs..

well for drama.. I'll forget everything but I don't like Pakya sticking that "I know where my son's happiness is, so I will get him married to Gunjan."

He can't force relationship down someone's throat.. what will he do if Yogi takes a drastic step bcoz his father is forcing him to marry, who he has no feelings for & doesn't wish to develop either.

As long as Pakya objected Yori relationship, it was fine not the forcing the Yojan part !

What right does Pakya have if Kabir wanted to abort Nisha's child ? It was KaSha decision, they're the parents aren't they ? Why did he yell on them ?

Pakya seems more concerned about Gunjan than Yogi !

So in short Prakash has the least knowledge in regards to YoRi. But know he knows where his son's heart lies and still told Shiv that he is still happy with the offer. He isn't even considering Yogi's feelings. Because he doesn't have the facts his words are useless in that state, he has lost the debate alreadly. He should allow Yogi and Pari to blossom before he gives his blessings for marriage so he can answer the doubts in mind, from seeing Pari as a daughter to acting like he doesn't know a shred of her character is really stupid of him.

Seeing his friend hurting and being there is fine and its where the line should be drawn. To make a promise as such based on the same mentality as the rishta was first founded on is bringing back to square 1. He doesn't believe YoRi is possible because Pari is able to speak and hear. Thats why he is going with YoGun. Just because he thinks what he thinks doesn't make him right. He lacks so much knowledge and isn't ready to take such leaps. YoRi isn't based on because Pari being normal, but because he thinks so its all correct lmao. Honestly I see his mentality but its flawed.

He knows it know but still told Shiv there is no turning back. He didn't know before but he knows now and should break it now instead of tge wedding day get closer. He will have to do what Shiv did on the wedding day and it will cause more harm then chauhan did.
