Anu is a Mamma's boy, but not like many have understood it

This quote is 100% true in my personal experience and that is what prompted me to make this post for Anu, because I find this quote apt for him too. Yes, he did publicly humiliate Pre and that was totally uncalled for. But like it happens among all couples when Pre has forgiven him for the same and have explicitly stated who Anu is to her, then i suppose, we too have to accept it, irrespective of whether it matches to our thoughts or not. And Pre's acceptance has nullified the attempt to use his that one wrong move as a reason to call him a Mamma's boy.

And if loving and respecting the person who carried him in her womb even when there were complications in the pregnancy and who according to his perspective has always been concerned for him, is the reason to call him a Mamma's boy, then I don't find any wrong in it. That just shows his empathetic personality. Mohini, infront of Anu, has always been sweet to those she hate. Except for 1 or 2 instances where Mohini was vocal about her dislike, Anu has never seen the real truth of Mohini. So, blaming him for something he has no idea about, is really 😆.

The above clip is just an example to prove that Anu is a man who knows how to show people their place, even if they are part of his family. Today he got Sonalika (who according to his brain, is his wife) to apologise to the Sharmas, that too in a stern voice and this trait of commanding power he got it from his Mom. That is his core trait and so, in that perspective he is a Mamma's boy. 😆And my hope is that CVs, by the end of this track, will give us a showdown between Anu & his Mom, two powerful personalities, thus proving that this season Anu is not a typical Mamma's boy.

Yeah he has been like this,he has reasons ..this is anurag basu..this is prerna Sharma.. then why expect them to do anything different than they are doing ? 🤔 They are likeable how they r isnt it?

And this VIDEO..how nicely he is respecting the other woman..his brain wali wife..selective respect I guess.. eyeing his ex/current/ almost/ may be /anothrr woman in front of his wife , that's lot of respect to her..

Prerna is not from this planet but normal girls find a lot of difficulty with typical and not so typical mamma boys..because typical or not typical ones too just fail to believe that their moms..can be wrong too..

Coz you are contradicting yourself...if he stands for right he should have called out mohini long ago ...so he isnt standing up for what's right when it comes to his people..yes he will scold his wife sona to his hearts content and bad mouth bajaj also in the name for standing up for what's right..what's wrong in calling a spade a spade ? This is how he is..he is a coward or acts blind when it comes to his mom. Like you said what's wrong in being a mammas boy? Tomorrow he may say mamma you are wrong to blame prerna but he will never disown her in front of his moms emotional drama.

Regarding this one.. I can divide this into several parts..talking about the above part.. you very rightly mentioned that we should have accepted if Prerna accepted and forgot about some humiliations.

My question- if the above is true then Prerna accepted her 'forced' shaadi with Bajaj. Because she did start to accept it gradually mostly coz of Kukki and when she saw him as a dad, etc

NO I am not trying to make it Anupre Vs PreRish. But just trying to highlight that out views easilly gets biased based on our preferences.

Every character in the show including Anurag has done good and bad so saying he/she is 100% right from the beginning would be a little extreme in my personal view.

But this could be relatable if linked to certain situations in the show and not as a whole; because as whole it looks pretty contradictory like Charu rightly pointed out in her posts above.

Anurag humiliating prerna has no relation to this topic my dear..

anurag hasn't seen his mother humiliating prerna ..yes or no? No ! He did ! plenty of times during komo 1..and I have seen it ...moh publicly slapped pre and he was standing there like a statue..later he proved her innocent but did he say anything to his mom for this ? He didnt even "react" ! Like he didnt feel bad..and then the fish drama on his shadi when his mom sent his may be /almost/ex/current mil to jail...he emotionally blackmailed his mom to bail his whatever mil out but did he react ? No he isnt a different kind of a mammas boy..he LOVES his mom as much she loves him..there wont be any disowning happening .

Love is "blind"..anurag is as much blind for his mom as he is for prerna. N it's toxic in both the cases.. bec he has lost his sense of right and wrong .

I had no idea of these incidents, joined the show quite late.

I agree with you about his blind love for Prerna and his Mom.. that's why I wrote that this post can be analysed from several angles.. like you addressed his blind love and inability to react against his mother no matters how much she humiliates Prerna and her family.

I tried to talk about TM pov of acceptance to something like this - we should accept it because a character had forgiven and moved on. Which is right but comes with a bias towards personal preference. I like character X so I accept but if its character Z then no that's a nightmare.. and the contradiction wala part to hai hi..
