EXCLUSIVE: Karan Johar To Remake Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan’s Main Khiladi Tu Anari

Akshay Kumar & Saif Ali Khan were seen revolutionizing the term of bromance in Bollywood with 1994’s hit film Main Khiladi Tu Anari. The movie was well appreciated and Akshay, Saif’s chemistry received applauds from all quarters of the industry.

Cut to 25 years later, Dharma Productions is all set to bring you a modern version of this bro-flick with a fresh cast. Karan Joharhas acquired the rights of the original and is all set to make a remake of it.

It’s a tried and tested formula, and Karan is leaving no stone unturned to bring in two big heroes in it. According to our sources, Karan is planning to go on the floors in the second half of 2020. Punit Malhotra could don the director’s hat. This year he did Student Of The Year 2 for Dharma.

Punit has directed films like Gori Tere Pyaar Mein & I Hate Luv Stories for the same production house. Karan Johar is still on the hunt of the second lead to pair opposite Sidharth Malhotra.

There was a tweet from a Box Office World or something account saying KJo is doing a remake of this, and they had tagged Sid, Punit, and Akshay. I think it was very speculative and this article is piggybacking off of that tweet and saying it’ll be with Sid and directed by Punit.
