We WERE Friends once! - 5.12.19

I don't know how many here enjoyed today's episode. But I personally enjoyed the PreeRan moments!!

It would be a miss, if i didn't make post for this. It was so emotional and kudos to the actors! Shradha and Dheeraj ne tho aaj nailed it!

Even though they both don't say what they really wanted to, Im glad they atleast had a conversation like this.

U want to fight. U want to talk. U want to cry. But at the same time, you don't want to do them either. Well, frankly its his ego to be blamed. But whatever it is, when there is love deep down in your heart for a person, you would definitely feel the fear of loosing them at a situation like this. And I think both are having that fear in their own way.

Karan is extremely worried about being completely ignored by Preeta. And he badly misses her. Otherwise he wouldn't have said those things

"Hey Babydoll!" and "ek dost hua karthi thi jiski aaj bohot yaad aa rahi hai"

But he's totally not ready to accept that he does! Therefore he deletes the message before she reads it.

I hope Karan realizes his made mistakes soon and apologize to Preeta.

Karan usually apologises in dream sequences...... and his dream sequence apology already happened.

Yeah, Not all dream sequences came true.

So how do u think preeta and karan will patch up 🤔🤔 .

I didn't enjoy the episode 😕 I wish I could.

I totally dislike what and how Karan does. He is so nervous about his engagement. He doesn't want to do it and is expecting Preeta to stop him. I call it cowardice. And I didn't expect Karan to be a coward. He is not a perfect male character, he is not a dream man for every girl. It's ok. I have never expected him to be perfect. But to be a coward?🙄

He doesn't want to do this engagement. And he doesn't have a courage to say it loud and stop it. He lets Mahira to dream about the marriage life when he can't even imagine his life with her. He lies to Preeta, to Mahira and to himself. Because he doesn't dare to face the truth.

I am disappointed.

I too loved the preeran sequence. Solely because of how dheeraj and shraddha portrayed it.

Karan is absolutely traumatized by the fact that preeta may really cut him off and he won't survive it. In my opinion his pyaar Mei nafrat and nafrat Mei pyaar is the only reason he is sane. Or else he is literally standing on the line of genuine insanity.. he has shut off his emotions completely but the fact that preeta may/will leave him scares the shit outta him. He's a douche no doubt but sometimes I feel tad bit bad for him because he is so messed up lately. For all the sins he has done , I hope makers don't make it easy for him to win preeta back or I won't even mind if preeta moves on but I still feel bad.

Preeta on other hand makes me furious, pity, sad , hurt , everything all at once. Being a woman I understand how much anguish and pain her heart has.. I personally didn't approve her wearing mangalsootra and sindoor but today when she said *Dil kehta hai Chalo jaane do* I realised she too is messed up.

Nevertheless , *ek dost thou Meri, uski bahot yaad aati hai* stole the show for me. 😭

I too liked the conversation yesterday. Karan was desperate to get a reaction from Preeta. He was panicking that he will be trapped in a relationship with Mahira for whom he felt nothing. He was actually goading Preeta to come and stop his engagement! Why else will he send his picture? Why was he worried if she actually blocked his number?

Preeta also looked very real in the scene and in character. She wouldn't show Karan that his engagement matter to her. But both of them are really upset with the impending engagement.

On a different note, I watched all the episodes recently and I am absolutely miffed with Preeta for trusting Prithvi. She actually had enough evidences against him but turned a blind eye. Rishab got married to someone he didn't like just because he had no evidence to prove her wrong. Same with Preeta.

I dont know why everyone needs proofs here. Can't someone just say they don't want to get married to this person? The other person may even be pretty ok like in case of Mahira. But cant they say that they are not interested and back off?

I know in case of traditional families people worry about society etc. But Luthra family is modern, so is Sarla. Unfortunately these shadi drama keeps happening. I guess this is what keeps the show running 😊

For the greater good of the show, I highly doubt that they will ever patch up (for good) even if they do, it may be temporary truce, and some comedy scenes in between, a lot of jealousy and insecurity, but I don't think any relationship can ever 'completely' recover from what Karan has done to Preeta. (in real or reel life) Especially, in Ekta Kapoor serials. I have never seen it happen, however, I could definately be proved wrong. 😊

He is still in confusion whether to accept her or reject her. All though he does show everyone that Preeta doesn't matter to him. Every single thing concerning Preeta Does matter to him deep down.

He is being coward, because he still believes that Preeta hates him and he is not someone important in her life. That's the reason, which I think he is behaving like this. As someone here said, he is as overly pampered adult, who still has a mentality of a kid sometimes. So just like when u don't give a kid much attention he will do everything possible within his limits to gain your attention. And that's what Karan has been doing with Preeta too.

For him, Preeta wants to get rid of Karan and get married to Prithivi and he didn't want that to happen. (Deep down he is just J of Prithvi and he wasn't ready to share his Preeta with anyone.) So he stopped her wedding. The reason that he gives is, she doesn't deserve to be happy.

But in actual, he is desperately trying to get in Preeta's way to gain her attention just like the old days. (Although some of his actions aren't right and we know he is suffering from internal circuit disorder 😆) Just like a kid he is desperately waiting for her to do the same with him. He doesn't want her to avoid him but to notice him.

And Mahira's case, even if Karan says out loud that he doesn't want to marry her, I don't think she will give an ear to that. She will still dream about them together. Maybe in the beginning she might have, but definitely not now. Karan was shown like he is always good with the girls. He never disappointed his fans, and just because of that itself he got into many troubles. So considering the fact that she has Kareena's support and not to forget about Sherlyn, she is only going come up with another plan if not this as long as Karan stays single. Preeta can only stop her now (Like if there's still hope for good in her character) by being Karan's wife officially. But i don't know when will this happen or will it even happen.
