Sometimes not always, You have to give people a dose of their own medicine. Still I haven't used the kind of abusive words that are being used for Shehnaaz.

When I went to drop her on the day of launch, I did tell her that you should stand for yourself. I think she took me too seriously as we saw her telling someone that my brother told me that I can hit someone and get evicted, he will pay the Rs 2 crore penalty (laughs). I was like why will you say that? But otherwise, she is doing really well. The house is such that people tend to get cranky and aggressive. For example Sidharth Shukla, I have met him earlier and he is a nice guy. But he is coming across as quite disrespectful, especially when it comes to girls.

I can't believe am saying this but - Shukla wasn't totally wrong. I personally felt Aarti was handling the fight with Paras just fine. They both were yelling and dishing out. So him intervening was really not necessary IMO. Not during the fight anyway.

In general the guy can't console. Can't empathise/sympathise maybe and that makes him uncomfortable with tears leading him to act all gruff and BS. That's probably what is coming across as insensitive. I don't say he shouldn't learn. Cause he needs to. But he's been consistently like this It's not a new development. The thing he could've done is walked off when he realised she was getting worked up and gone back later when she was more settled to talk. Not when everyone was crowding her during the night wala attack. Sometime before that. In the midst of the crying she was having difficulty forming words and continuing to argue. It was difficult to watch. And then the guy again took some "Dimaag" wala dig. So obviously the whole scene was just terrible.

But all in all, Aarti needs to take care of herself. Her expectations and well being can't be centred around one person. It's an immense amount of responsibility. And if someone is unwilling, putting them in such a position is just uncomfortable. Hope she got the help she required yesterday.

I remember last season when Shiv wanted to talk to a Psychiatrist and BB kept delaying and he tried to scale the wall to get out. For TRPs they exploit the contestants and delay help. That is messed up.

On that last point, BB is the shitty pits, makes me so angry that they don’t display the duty of care that a civilised show should display. They should’ve had Arti in the confession room if she was still suffering late into the night. I know the show is edited, so maybe she did speak to someone, I dunno but I have major doubts. Like you said, the Shiv example just says it all, I was so happy for him when he went out.

Ok just to clarify, cos I wasn’t talking about the fight with Paras, I didn’t have time to go into it yesterday. When I spoke about Arti expecting him to treat her with respect, I was talking generally about the way Shukla has time/patience for Shehnaz but not Arti. And this has built up inside of her.

As far as the fight was concerned, yeah Arti was fighting Paras alone and I have no problem with Shukla not fighting with Paras. Arti found it really humiliating that Paras brought up the underwear issue again in the fight and I felt that this is where Arti would’ve liked Shukla to tell him to stop it - and here, I don’t find Arti expecting a friend to do that all that unreasonable, especially since she speaks up for Shukla - and no matter how much Shukla says he doesn’t want that, it’s so untrue - of course people like support when they’re fighting and so does Shukla - It’s why he attacked Asim last time saying why weren’t you there when they were arguing with me? 🙄

I just think it all burst for her yesterday, just how poorly this guy treats her. But still I think that she would’ve been ok, gotten on with it, had he consoled her properly when he clearly saw her cried-out-eyes. And here is what I find completely ghatiya about him, it’s not just being gruff cos one isn’t good with emotions, it’s the fact that his ego overtakes empathy and understanding every time, so he starts to argue and taunt, when the person needs comfort. I haven’t seen an example yet where he’s done that with Shehnaz - I haven’t seen her upset with him over something he’s done to her, and instead of comforting her, he unleashes fury. It has happened with Asim and Arti only, so far. So let’s see.

As far as Arti’s stay in the house is concerned, I wanna see and root for a journey of detachment from her but if she can’t manage it and is affected again & again by Shukla’s mistreatment, then yeah better she’s out.
