Which makes me doubt he knew the facts just chose the easy way because he simply couldn't believe MohAn or the fact that Angad could ever fall in love with a Dayan.

I think he chose the easy route & brushed it off with a patronising " It was the right thing to do"

Yeah, it got confirmed after I watched it for the second time. Although he didn't know the facts, his holier than thou attitude pissed me off. And on yesterday's episode, makers tried to justify it by showing Singha attacking Piya and Ansh killing him. Like audiences are fool that they will forget what had happened one episode ago.
