Seriously, in the voice-over when we heard his regret of not having had the chance to hold Minnie's tiny hands when she has a baby, and then they showed him carrying baby Arya who held his hand, his words to Minnie on the phone about Arya's little hands... all of it was just... He said 'you have a sister now' rather than 'I have a daughter now'.

I think they are going to reveal slowly what happened to Hanita in those 5 years via NB or Beeji. They won't do it all at once because they want us to remain curious to find out and thus watch season 2. It's just bait.
