I think this is the rented home they used to live in so it was never theirs. The house he owns has been turned into a women's hostel for underprivileged girls. I don't think he would have taken Tanya there because it would have looked like he was bragging about his charity.

His Delhi bungalow for his family is near Gauri's parent's house in Panscheel Park.
