That makes a lot of sense. It will be beneficial for either Prachi or Ranbir to be in love before Rhea strikes. At least one party will have strength to fight for the love
I think that fighting party for sure will be ranbir

I think the best thing, the best part in the whole scene where Ranbir defended Prachi was the way he defended her. His tone was so constricted. He was clenching his teeth. His eyes were ablaze. He was making exaggerated gestures.
All this just depicted the huge pain he was in, seeing his ladylove being humiliated right in front of him. He was in pain seeing Prachi helpless and in tears and his pain was turning into barely controlled rage which he was transforming into his words and actions.
Bravo to Krishna Kaul for this piece of acting. For someone with an untrained eye, it would look like overacting but as a theatre person, I could see the amount of effort he put in making it look controlled but angry. Krishna is a relatively new actor and for him to pull off this scene shows how he must be taken seriously as an actor, rather than just his good looks.
Seriously 👏 He was fab. He was disgusted by how not a single person was willing to let prachi explain herself because he saw that they were only interested in entertaining themselves by putting her down. He was furious over the injustice being meted out to prachi.
BTW, can't quite recall who recommended zindagi gulzar hai to me (I remember two-three people recommending it to me here), but I started watching it last night. I think I might be on sixth episode. Found it on uk's netflix thankfully. I didn't sleep till 3:00am because I couldn't stop watching. Damn, given I'm someone who rarely gets into shows and it's hard to get me to enjoy a show, ZGH is fab 👏 Fawad is beyond charming and every time he opens his mouth to say something Loved the car drive scene with asmara when he started singing those western songs... his accent is damn amazing
Sometimes I find kashaf annoying, but then I understand why she behaves the way she does; because she's under pressure to not only become independent and educated to prove herself that a daughter can be an achiever, an earner for the household and live independently, but do that whilst staying within the boundaries that society puts on women and that her own mother expects of her so that people don't think that working and independent women are shameless but instead can strike a balance between career and family dignity. I love how her character is shown to contrast between the other feminist female characters in the show who don't know how to strike balance between female empowerment/ progress and maintaining cultural/ family values.

I LOVE ZGH. It is a simple show with a very cliche plot but the way it as been presented is beautiful. Zaroon shows chauvinistic tendencies while Kashaf acts as everything Zaroon wasn't supposed to like yet falls in love with. I was rooting for Kashaf despite her sometimes annoying pessimism because tbh, in the South East Asian premise, she acts as a perfect feminist

I watched it two or three times already and won't get tired of watching it again. The monologues of both Zaroon and kashaf are so meaningful and resonate with you for a long time. Wait till they get married and you will live it even more😳

Agreed! Even when she's thinking too negatively, you can't blame her thinking at the same time, because it's understandable given her frustration around her mother and sisters' plight, her father's neglectful and degrading attitude towards her mother and sisters having formed her very negative opinion on life and her desire to achieve big for her family. One thing that I thoroughly loved was that unlike in ITV where the female lead is shown unaffected by class differences and shows no complex, they make kashaf more human by making her complex around class differences more visible and admitting that she feels envious of the relaxing and care-free life the upper class live whilst her own family of just four women struggle to survive and make ends meet every day no matter how much they work. She feels no shame in admitting that she wants that life too, and that she will work for it by getting the best education possible. I find it refreshing.

I can't wait too! Half the times I feel like just skipping to the part where he falls for kashaf, but I stop myself so I can watch every minute of the show. That's never happened before where I haven't wanted to skip a second, probably because I find the characters so realistic and not annoying, even the characters that are very questionable like kashaf's father, her step-mother or uncle.

Yes, its very beautiful drama, you need to watch once a lifetime.I have recommended it to many of my friends and after that they were fond of Pakistani dramas. There are so many pakistani dramas that are gem the only problem is some of them are slow in the beginning and you need to have patience.

Yes right now ZGH is slow, and I kept patience given I was recommended to, and I'm surprised at having binge watched 5 of the epis in one night without skipping at all. Seriously I barely have any shows I like or that have me hooked because it's hard for me to get into a show, to decide what kind of shows I like, or I get bored and put off quickly. I have far more dislikes than likes. I can only confidently say that there is only one show that I would call a favorite of mine out of western shows and that's criminal minds given how much I binge watch it.
