Juhi and Ishani performing surgeries with jewelries on? - Page 2

I don’t get it why showing using of hand disinfection with rings on? Basic rules. In every day use I can understand you don’t think about it but you are a freaking surgeon who is according to your shows doing critical surgery how can they show surgeons are coming out of ot and washing hands withs rings on and using disinfection??? I can’t even get my nails done and wear my wedding band coz of infection risk between patients (work as nurse). I thought I would love this show India’s version of Grey’s anatomy coz I’m die hard greys fan. So far nothing is working for me can’t connect with anyone yet. I’m not gonna give up yet let c wot happens. Nice post by the way.

I am a doctor by profession.

You are not allowed to wear any sort of bangles or rings. But generally if u are wearing a small ear ring it is well put inside the cap. A sterilised OT dress is worn n over it also sterile dispossible gown is put. With double gloves n a special OT chappal will also be worn. Mask is also worn, hair put up n hid inside the cap.

Well....it's not the first time they are showing such gross and grave mistakes regarding the medical profession....what can you expect from an Indian tv show ? 😵

I don't think they are allowed to wear jewelry. I'm not entirely sure what happens in the medical institutions but, as someone who works in science-based research labs, we won't wear jewelry/makeup on our hands when we are dissecting something to avoid cross-contamination. We can wear them after we step out of the labs cleansing our hands and stuff.

Yes, doctors don't carry their personal belongings or wear jewelry in OT. But anything can happen on a fictional show.

You are not allowed to wear outside footwear in the OT

The hospital has a separate slippers which are to be worn by everyone in the ot and leave it in the ot while leaving

Hell even the OT scrubs are to be worn only in the ot and not worn outside the ot

Our senior teachers scold us whenever they catch us wearing scrubs outside OT if we go out to do some patient related work in the hospital

and I remember some posts and quotes which said that the show is something you can relate yourself to and particularly the doctors.
