I watched it and he didn't mean about prachi when he said that. Basically rhea misunderstood the reason for his anger and unintentionally gave him a reason to explain to himself why he was bothered seeing prachi being friendly with sanju other than jealousy so he latched on to that explanation provided by rhea and convinced himself he truly was only bothered by sanju-prachi because he needs to impress prachi to be able to be with rhea. So basically ranbir is in the denial mode of love right now, which always happens.
He also called himself a bad person because he was doing all this and acting in this way to break prachi's heart. For the first time, he actually admitted what he was doing was wrong.
