Part 1

The story begins with the couple contest at Khurana Jewellers. All the couples come & take part. The person conducting the competition is none other than Mohinder.

Mohinder: Welcome to Khurana Jewellers for the lucky draw contest. Whoever wins the best couples contest will get the 100 grams golden necklace.

He calls Katrina Kaif who comes to pick up the chit.

Katrina: If I knew this contest is for the married couples, I would have married & come.

She picks up one the chits & said, "The winner is Mr. & Mrs. Sameer Bharadwaj."

Sameer & Sanjana comes to the stage & pick 100 grams gold chain & come out.

They meet their friends. Piyush said, "What is your plan? Are you guys planning to sell or pledge the chain?"

Sanjana: I won't sell it. I will pledge it.

Sanskar: First, we have to find out which option is beneficial.

Piyush: Selling the chain is my headache. Today, I am giving the party.

All of them go to the canteen.

Meanwhile, Mohinder & Rano discuss the winners of the lucky draw competition.

Mohinder: I think I saw that girl's face before.

Rano: Is it Katrina Kaif? She is Salman Khan's girlfriend.

Mohinder: I am not talking about Katrina. I am talking about the girl who won the best couples award.

Rano: Are you talking about Prem's daughter Sanjana?

Mohinder: Yes, I am talking about her.

He dials Prem's number who picks up the phone.

Mohinder: Hello, do you recognize me?

Prem: Yes, of course.

Mohinder: I was expecting you for the inauguration of my jewelry shop. But you didn't come.

Prem: I'm sorry. I had a lot of work

Mohinder: It is ok. Anyway, you have sent your daughter & son-in-law. Thanks for that.

Prem is shocked.

Mohinder: Your son-in-law is very lucky. He won the lucky draw competition. As soon as I saw your daughter, I recognized her. But I am upset with her that you have not sent an invitation card for your daughter's marriage.

Prem laughs: I am also upset with my daughter. She got married but didn't send me the invitation card either.

Mohinder gets shocked.

Prem: My daughter didn't marry. She is in her final year degree.

Prem: Keep your shocking moment aside. I will find out and call you back. Bye for now

Simar comes in. She finds Prem upset.

Simar: What's the matter?

Prem: Khurana was saying that Our Sanjana got married. She & her husband won the lucky draw.

Simar: What crap. Let's call up Sid & Roli.

Prem: I think you are right.

Prem calls up Sid & said, "It seems your son & my daughter got married."

Sid: What rubbish!

Prem: Even I didn't believe that, but they won the lucky draw contest at Khurana Jewellers.

Sid puts on the speaker-phone so that Roli can hear the conversation.

Prem too does the same.

Roli: If that is the case, we have to meet Mohinder.

Sid: I agree with Roli.

Prem: I think you guys are right.

Sameer, Sanjana & others are a lovely time at the hotel. Police come & raids the hotel. They take all the youngsters to the custody.

Sameer: May I know for what you have brought us here?

Inspector: For indulging in the drugs scandal.

Mohinder comes in & bails them out.

He then asked Sameer & Sanjana, "When did you guys marry?"

Sanjana: We married yesterday.

Inspector: Do your parents know about it?

Sameer: No, they don't know. My dad hates rich girls & Sanjana belongs to a wealthy family. They have a car, big bungalow. I am from an impoverished family. Her dad is from a capitalist & my dad is a communist. My dad has threatened me that if I marry a wealthy girl, he will take our black & white photo & burn it, saying that I don't exist for him anymore.

Mohinder: Is he so heartless? And Sanjana's dad is worse than my dad.

Sanjana: My dad is against our wedding, but mom supported. For that, my dad has lifted the TV & hit it on her head. She is in the hospital & we needed money very badly. That is why we took part in this lucky draw.

Mohinder: And where is the necklace?

Sanjana: We gave it to the doctor for mom's treatment.

Sid, Roli, Prem & Simar enter.

Prem: Why are you making cock & bull stories?

Sanjana sees Simar & said, "When did you get the discharge?"

Simar: Shut up

Sid: Sameer, take out the necklace.

Mohinder: Let it be. They are young.

Sid: Their age is lesser than the value of the necklace. Take it.

Mohinder: They have helped me to inaugurate the jewelry shop. I won't let them go empty-handed.

He then asks Sameer, "When is your birthday?"

Sameer: 30th August.

He then asks Sanjana, "When is yours?"

Roli intervenes. He said, "Both of them are born in the same hospital on the same day. Sid, Roli, Simar, & I are family friends.

Prem: We were always together. Our wedding took place on the same day. In the same way, Sameer & Sanjana are perfect friends as they are a step ahead of us. They studied in the same school & they are now in the same college. They are also wearing the same dress. They are good at studies, sports, and all other activities. They are also good at playing pranks."

Mohinder: Oh I see. Rano gets the gift for them.

Rano goes in and gets them the necklaces.

Mohinder gifts them with jewelry & said, "God bless you. May you always be happy, have fun, & play pranks."

All of them go to the college canteen. Suddenly, they get the announcement about the annual day where all the students register their names.

Premar & Rosid go home.

Sid: Our son is a step ahead of us.

Roli: Yes, that is true. Let us start thinking about getting them engaged as soon as possible. They can marry after completing their final year.

Sid: I think you are right. But we should find out what is in Sameer's mind.

Simar: We have to get Sanjana & Sameer engaged.

Prem: Yes, even I am thinking the same. But we need to find out what is in Sanjana's mind.

Simar: I guess they have not realized their feelings for each other

Prem: Even I fee the same. Let's talk to Rosid.

Prem calls up Sid.

All 4 of them meet at Kumar House.

Roli & Simar wanted to talk to Sameer & Sanjana about their marriage but Sameer & Sanjana get ready for the college, the next day.

After they reach college, they go to the disco during the break. Sameer & Sanjana dance with their friends on the song

At the end of the day, they go home. After checking the time-table, they realize the next day is their internal exam & are afraid how they will clear the exam as they have not even touched their books. Sameer & Sanjana decide to study & appear for their internal exams. The next day, the go to the class to write their exam. Sanjana manages to copy while Sameer is little nervous but eventually writes down the points with some elaboration. Sanjana is happy that she managed to copy while Sameer is tensed about his results. The next day, Sameer gets up in the morning. Simar sees him & asks, "Where are you going?"

Sameer: I'm going to the temple so I get good results.

Simar: You have done well in your exams but still you are tensed.

Sameer: I'm a little nervous.

He goes to the temple & sees his friend there. Both pray to Lord Ganesha. Sameer's friend asks, "You have copied word to word but why are you scared?"

Sameer: Yes, I did copy but don't know whether I could do it properly. Looking at the lecturer, I got perspiration.

Both keep praying.

After they are done with the prayer, Sameer calls up Sanjana & asks, "How was your paper?"

Sanjana: I passed.

Sameer: Congrats, Then even I passed.

Sanjana: No, you failed. You don't even know to copy properly. Useless fellow!

Prem overhears the telephonic conversation & takes the phone from Sanjana

Sameer: I am planning for the trip to Lonavala. Please arrange for some money.

Prem: Come home, I will give you Rs. 12,000.

Sameer: What happened to your voice Sanjana?

Prem: I am your father's friend.

Sameer is unable to believe.

Rosid and Premar meet at the garden where Sameer & Sanjana are sitting.

Sid: When you have failed in the first Semester, what are you going to pass in the final exams? From now on, no petrol for your bike, no cable for your TV, no battery for your walkman. You should only focus on your studies.

Sanjana giggles.

Prem: No need to laugh. Just because you have passed, don't think that you know everything. You have barely passed.

Prem & Sid: You guys should start studying from 7 am in the morning. Otherwise no breakfast for you.

They leave.

Simar to Sameer: Don't get disheartened. If you study hard, you will certainly pass.

The next day,

The alarm rings. Sameer & Sanjana get up. They start listening to music in the bathroom while brushing their teeth.

Rosid & Premar had not yet got up from the sleep.

Suddenly Sid & Prem get up & are out for jogging.

Sid: No need of waking up everyone. I know how much you guys are studying.

They start jogging.

Sameer & Sanjana start studying. Sanjana falls asleep. Simar comes to the room and wakes her up.

Simar: Sameer is studying & you are sleeping.

Sanjana: I was studying but I found the subject to be boring. So I slept. Oh, I am sorry. Sameer told me that he is not studying and is before the books! Cunning fellow!

She goes to Sameer's house and sees him reading.

Sanjana: It is sunset and you are still reading.

Sameer: For me it is sunrise.

Sanjana: What are you reading?

Sameer: Chemistry.

Sanjana: Is it science chemistry or love chemistry.

She throws the magazine from the balcony.

Prem & Sid see the book. Both go to their respective houses & join Simar & Roli for the breakfast.

Sanjana: Hello mom & dad.

Premar: Hello

Simar: Have your breakfast.

Sanjana: The same old milk & dhokla! If I eat dhokla every day, I will become a dhokla.

Prem: No, you will be slim like your mom.

Simar: Have some milk.

Sanjana: Please prepare something different.

Simar: If you want to eat, you eat else leave it.

She then meets Rosid.

Sanjana: Hello aunty & uncle.

Rosid: Hello

She then meets Sameer.

Sid gives Sanjana her favorite breakfast.

Sanjana then sees Sameer having his favorite dish. She asks, "Are you not spoiling him by giving him what he wants?"

Sameer: I am not spoilt. You are spoilt. See the dress that you are wearing.

Sanjana: I had worn the same in that function for which you said I look sexy.

Sameer: Function is a different story & college is separate. If you wear this in college the guys will tease you.

Prem: I agree with Sameer. Go & change your dress.

Sanjana reluctantly goes & changes her dress.

Sameer & Sanjana go down. Sameer starts his bike.
