This is probably the biggest blow life can give him. A first child is always going to be a first, and especially since he thinks of Minnie as the child Imarti and he could have had. Bande ka bad luck hi kharaab hai.
He is likely to put his love for Minnie above his promise to Babita and help her, the consequences be damned. He already started doing that with the nudge about Ashok.
The writers are such sadists. Why can't HS for once have some happiness in his life without having to make a major sacrifice (because it's now clear that he will)?
@bold - Ughh, I think this is why it hurts him more. He sees so much of Imarti in her that he wants to hold onto her. Of course he loves Minnie for who she is as well, but there's Imarti, him and a bit of Minnie's own individuality. It's a mixture of all three that makes him yearn for her. She was his chance at living that little fantasy out. What if he and Imarti had a child? What if he had gotten the chance to be a dad? Sure, there's a lot that he needs to learn and catch up on, but he can at least try and make do with whatever he had right now.
Minnie will always come first for him, he had even told Babita this and it's what she expects too. But neither of them had ever imagined that a time would come when Minnie herself would want to be away from them.
It's just all really messed up. I mean, if death is in the cards then this is what Hanita get? To be separated from their child and not live out the rest of their lives happily and peacefully? The writers are brutal savages for making us and them go through this.
