Disclaimer: I'm not a wife and I never had a partner before and definitely not one who shared their finances with me. So whatever I'm about to say is based off of what I've seen within my own family and my own understanding of life after marriage.

From what I know of marriages, everything is shared between spouses. Secrets, feelings (good and the bad), life stories (the funny and the miserable), responsibilities (familial and otherwise), as well as finances. Barring the rich few who wish to hold onto their finances so that they don't lose everything in the advent of a divorce, most finances are shared.

For some, it could be joint accounts or simply the handing over of the money at home. For others, they may wish to create separate accounts for in case of emergencies. If one was to lose all their money or have their account frozen for whatever reason, the family will at least have a back up.

In families where both spouses work, one partner doesn't hold onto all the money. Yes, they individually have money to spend on their own needs and wants, but they also mutually share it for the necessities of the home, whether that's the groceries or for the children.

If we look at Babita's case in the context of a housewife, then she's the one who should be managing all the finances since she'll be running the house. HS' job merely comes down to earning it. It also makes sense since he can't be worried about a leaky pipe when he should be out there saving lives.

Babita asking HS for money is not a bad thing. What was off putting was the way in which they showed it. In front of Lala and Minnie, with Babita's hand extended out towards HS. It created a really awful dynamic there wherein Babita was depicted as being the submissive one while HS the dominant.

Ideally, this conversation should have taken place in the privacy of their bedroom, not in public. But even if they were to do it in a public setting, there was no need to show Babita extending her hand out like that.

Then again, if they hadn't, then we wouldn't have gotten to see another lecture from Super Minnie. 🤔

Let's see what today's episode has in store for us.

Hope you all enjoy. <3

Didn't HS give all the keys to Babes? I remember her showing Jewelry to chachi. So I am pretty sure she has access to the money and HS keeps saying everything is yours so I doubt he will keep the money under his control.

Why I have a feeling that the writers went through the Agony Aunt column in a Ladies magazine and added all the problems in this show.

Exactly.

And what is he going to do by keeping all that money to himself in the first place?

And if there is some emergency when HS is not home, Babita would need access to money. Knowing HS, he wouldn't overlook a fact like that. Fir bhi ye haath failane ka drama
