And Babita was like his work is more important somewhere pointing that her work & identity is not important. I understand if it was about the nature of jobs they do (like a doctor vs any career the doctors work comes first because of emergencies) but here it was not about that,

Yeah, I want HS to explain to her that her work is no less important than his (unless there's a law and order related emergency situation of course). If this is the only reason she thinks his work is more important then I kind of understand, but on the whole their work should be equally important.

I am really hoping this will come from him and that he believes in it too because it would seem very strange for him to tell her to sacrifice her career or give it less attention when he was the one encouraging her so much to build the business.

i feel work should be shared earning money and working at home too.

yes initially for a few years if there is no one else at home one of the parents may need to be with their children. but babita has no issues like that so she can work.

Millions out there have no choice to not work. Men and women have to. It’s about survival. I want to work part time but visa restrictions, I can’t. Where is the choice here? I want better future for myself and my kid so I commute and work and manage my life.

Having choice — it’s too ideal. Personally I am very practical person. I don’t believe in idealism much.

Financial stability is very important. Hone ko toh kuch bhi ho sakta hai.. but we don’t stop trying to make our future better. Jaan bujhke stupid decisions Lena.. is not very wise according to me. Sometime all your soch samajke liye huye decision can also fail yet we always try to evaluate and go ahead in life. Pros and cons. Letting of PB has more cons and any pros I can see.

I think men and women should be able to equally prioritize their careers if they want to. One shouldn't suffer for the other.

If Babita didn't want HS to leave his work then that's fine considering he's a police officer. His job is more critical and important in that sense since people's lives are at stake. Moreover, Babita has the option of working from home and if needed, she can pop on over to the store within two minutes. But agar usse koi interest hi nahi hai, woh alag baat hai.
