Haha him giving the safety reasons made me laugh too.....that was classic Inspector mode waala HS logic.

As for your question....sadly, I still think he will hang back only and let maa-beti celebrate together.....because Babita's guilt is greater for having forgotten Mini's b'day...so he will step back so that Babita can reassure herself and Mini with their own celebration.

He may wish her warmly....with a tinge of awkwardness still lingering possibly...or Mini as usual may do that thing where she pretends everything is ok to ease the awkwardness of the person in front of her.....lol ....unless HS gathers the guts to ask her what she's really feeling, aise hi chalega.

Mini does miss him....but I think she also told her grandparents that stuff so that they don't think poorly of HS over this.....

Yes, interesting that she's trying to make sure he doesn't have a bad image (not that I care what Khuranas think). She did the same when he scolded her the other day.

Still, I was pleased to hear that in her voice that she longs for the times when he did used to be jovial and all those funny HS scenes came to my mind.

She is protective of the ones she cares about.....and HS is included in that list. Just like she sticks up for her Babes, she sticks up for her Hanuman Uncle as well.....she is well aware that their family gets harshly judged anyways and the grandparents have already seen some things that can lead them to misunderstand HS.....but I think Mini wants to protect him from that....no matter how hurt she is, her faith in his goodness hasn't shaken.....she wants to protect their family unit in her own way despite the cracks that have now formed.

I guess the upcoming scene where HS jokes around with her while putting up the family portrait will be like a throwback to the old days when he made her laugh....this might be setting the scene for that.

@bold, yes it hasn't shaken. She spoke of this to Babita and then to her friends, and somewhere all his ehsaan do weigh on her mind, I think.

I know one day she will defend him again in public regarding the whole sautela baap thing. It hurt her when Lovely was saying those things to him.

I don't think she protects him out of a sense of feeling his ehsaan.....she senses his love for her....if this was only about ehsaan, she wouldn't be so disappointed in him.....that disappointment is borne from a lot of haq....jahaan ehsaan maante hain, wahaan haq nahin hote.

Yes, she definitely can't stand it when people call HS her sautela baap....so that might ultimately build into the catalyst for her to burst out and defend him over that.....maybe that will return some of his confidence.....baap na sahi, but she doesn't consider him a sautela either.....lol....these two playing their semantics waale games over labels *shakes head*

The undercurrents as you and AreYaar were saying. Dunno how much of this will be addressed when Chachiji comes over, but I hope they're able to sneak away a conversation or two in private and speak about this and everything else that's been going on.

@bold, good point. He needs to bust this myth. It was love and apnapan and she is entitled to it, because he has reserved it all for her. One day, one day.

I hope she picks up his good traits too.
