The movie is such a snoozefest and a drag fest. You feel nothing for Aisha by the end of the film because they don't show anything about her in the film. Her whole motivational speaker phase is passed in a quick montage, all her achievements are turned into a joke by Aisha's voiceover. The film is only about the parents. I mean who the hell would want to watch such a dragfest about a couple when the real meat in the story lies in Aisha?
It was so irritating to watch them jump time again and again and AGAIN like enough man! This looked like a short film or documentary script pulled into a 2.5 hr movie. Honestly the most enjoyable part of the film was only the end where they showed archive videos of the real Aisha. Except for that, it's such a dry, dull movie with no emotions at all. I mean the death scene is bound to bring tears to one's eyes because a child's death is always painful but one could put that scene in any film and impact would've been the same. A really disappointing directorial outing from Shonali Bose after the lovely Margarita With a straw.

you and your endless excuses..
first it was HR fans now this
there is enough room for all movies to co-exist and do well provided audience accepts them..they did not for this one..simple as that
The movie is not only releasing after Joker and War but also before Diwali releases.
Let's be practical, people(average Indian) don't watch back to back 3 movies in a month.
So obviously it will earn low. But I don't fight for numbers, what matters for me is the positive reviews for movie and PC acting. Bas I am content with that only.

they don't watch 2 back to back movies as well
going by that definition..war should have been affected by joker or vice versa..but both held their own..
when they can watch 2..they can also watch 3
these are just excuses people give for poor BO
how else do we explain saaho followed by chichore..followed by dream girl all crossing 100cr..people happily spent on 3 back to back movies..they would have now too..period.
this one either had little hype to begin with or failed to connect with its target audience..which is why a flat sunday..
appreciate all you want..but lets not bring in these excuses..
I give a flying fcuk of what others might be thinking of my logic. For me what mattered was how PC acted in movie. Even if movie had earned only my ticket revenue. Then be it.
So antifans burn!
People don’t watch back to back movies ...what !!🤣
The excuses to defend this disastrous movie is hilarious...

LOL, tujhe chub raha hai boss, box office collection chub raha hai.

With that logic movie makers shouldn't release not more than 1 movie in 3 weeks. People won't watch it.
Truth is the movie is boring and doesn't make sense, Daughter is dying , so she must have SEX before she dies . What kind of logic is that ???
That’s not what happens in the movie.
No one’s making excuses, it’s a fact, the timing of the release, the genre and many other things effect the collections of a movie. For example, October made less money than all the masala films Varun does... Gurzarrish made less money than other Hrithik films. It’s just the way it is.
