The #MeToo storm in India had created a huge buzz. While many people accused of it went jobless, Aamir Khan had recently hired #MeToo accused Subhash Kapoor back for the film Mogul which the superstar is both producing and acting in.
The question of #MeToo was raised yet again, this time to Deepika Padukone. She was asked to narrate about her experience. The actress rather questioned that why aren't sports personalities, especially cricketers being asked the same question.
"You should ask some cricketers about the #MeToo movement. I don't see that happening. But every actor is asked about the #MeToo movement. It's not something that's happening only in the film industry," said Deepika while talking to an event host.
She further went on to add, "So, sure, I don't think I'm in any kind of place to say if I would expose myself to a forum. You can ask me whatever question you want, but why subject it only to a film star?" In conclusion, Deepika stated, "As responsible, should we not have an opinion? All our opinions should matter then, right?"
Did she dance around the question?
