Ace tennis player, Sania Mirza’s baby sister, Anam Mirza is all set to tie the knot with her long-time beau and former cricketer, Mohammad Azharuddin’s son, Asad Azharuddin. The speculations about Anam's wedding started when Sania’s friend and Bollywood director, Farah Khan on September 10, 2019, had posted a picture on her social media handle with Sania and Anam. Farah had shared a picture from their girly night and referred Anam as 'bride-to-be’. Farah had captioned the image as “Pillow talk!! Finally putting an end to all the speculations, Sania Mirza in an interview with the Times of India has confirmed sister, Anam Mirza’s wedding date with Mohamad Azharuddin’s son, Asad. She stated, “She (Anam) is actually getting married in December. We just came back from her bachelorette trip in Paris. We are really excited. She is marrying a lovely boy. His name is Asad and he happens to be the son of Mohammad Azharuddin and we are really excited about it.”

The Mirza sisters were in Paris to celebrate Anam Mirza’s bachelorette trip along with their girly gang. And, their social media handle was flooded with their vacation pictures. One of the pictures shared by Anam had her wearing a ‘bride-to-be’ sash, a bride crown and pink foil balloons in the background. Anam and Asad'd social media PDA's were giving hints about the couple being madly-in-love with each other, however, the then-rumoured couple has remained silent about their relationship. On February 24, 2019, (Anam’s birthday), Anam's then-rumoured beau, Asad had taken to his Instagram handle and had posted a beautiful birthday wish for her. Wedding shopping and finalizing things for the final D-day is a hectic task in itself but when your sister is there to accompany you, half of your burden is already gone. Sania Mirza and sissy, Anam Mirza were also spotted at ace designer, Manish Malhotra’s studio along with Farah Khan and Punit Malhotra to finalise Anam's wedding trousseau. They were clicked by the paparazzi, leaving the store in Mumbai. Sania had aced her casual look in matching striped shrug and lowers with a white tee and sports shoes, Anam too had kept it simple with a plain tee and a printed skirt.

Though Anam and Asad are yet to make their relationship official, the two has been spotted together many times and their social media captions talk volumes about their chemistry. In one of the posts, Asad had called Anam his 'better half'. Asad had once posted a picture with Anam and had captioned it as “With my better half”, followed by two heart emojis. Anam too had posted a picture from the same event and had captioned it with a yellow heart emoji.

For the unversed, this is not the first time that the star sister is getting married, Anam was earlier married to Akbar Rasheed. The ex-couple had tied the knot November 18, 2016, in Hyderabad, but after one-and-a-half years of marital bliss, the couple had decided to part their ways. As per the reports of Pinkvilla, a source close to the Mirza family was quoted as saying, "The reason for the split is still unknown but we believe the divorce proceedings have come through. Meanwhile, Anam continues to focus on being the stylist for her sister and running her fashion outlet."
