Maybe it's the height of my own madness now after seeing Rishabh's but that scene during the wedding preparations when he forcibly changes the A written in mehndi on Prerna's palm to an R - that to me was another one of those moments where I thought 'wait this is kind of unnecessary'. I know logic would follow that if anyone saw the A they would have asked a million questions, but who would have truly stared besides Maasi or Tanvi, who were already too busy trying to rip Prerna out of the situation. That Rishabh had picked the cone up himself, correcting the letter on her hand, the man written in her fate. But it was everything else too, knowing her favourite colour, arranging the wedding to her tastes, giving her everything he knew she liked because he had wanted her to be comfortable even if he'd opened up the earth beneath her feet and dragged her into her version of a hell that was his making. It's like he's cushioned her since the beginning. Kept her at a distance, far enough that she can't find the demons that lurk in his eyes, cushioning her with luxury and her own wants, giving her everything she's asked of but challenging her all the same. Yet now, with the turning tide of his own heart, when he pulls her close he knows the demons aren't in his eyes, because she puts them to rest. It is not hard to believe that when he's next to her he becomes a version of himself that you know he likes being. He wants to be her hero, but he'll be Anurag's villain to keep being the hero in Prerna's eyes. She silences the chaos in Rishabh's mind, it's apparent from the way he is around her. The hesitancy, the soft gaze, the smiles, the need to comfort her. He doesn't even know how she affects him, but it's enough for him to never let her go now because he's curious. He's curious about her but most importantly he's curious about the man he becomes in her presence.
