That's totally fair and valid but I'll offer a counterpoint.
I know it seems like he's become wayyy too soft too quickly, but I think for once the writers have done this intentionally. We've seen RB's ruthless side, his cold and collected side. But he is also human. They're showing us that with an intention with this track, because although he's soft for Prerna he still very much manipulated the situation to his favour to gain as much sympathy as possible. He purposely put himself in that cell, and purposely denied bail. He knew that if A was loud enough for him to hear about the plan, he would be loud enough again within Prerna's earshot. He waited, biding his time, for her to come to him, because he knew that she would. That's not as obvious here because it was overshadowed with him saying he did all this for her, and he's not lying he did truly do this to get Prerna by his side, but that too finally with all her doubts about him cleared. While it creates closure for Prerna's consistent misunderstandings with him, there's still so much more to come
This also doesn't spell the end for the troubles coming Prerna and Rishah's way, especially with Komo coming back. Alongside a possible parallel track of Bajaj's past that has been regularly hinted at especially by Massi, it's possible Bajaj will make a devil's deal with Komo to keep Prerna safe. I mentioned this before but Komo is going to come back with the intention of harming Prerna, because Prerna is the reason komo was forced to leave in the first place. And in an effort to keep his wife safe, Bajaj may make a deal with Komo giving her free reign to do what she wants (according to his plan ofc) while Prerna is firmly by his side. We have so many more facets left of Rishabh to explore. We've seen the father, and the hesitant lover and the ruthless businessman, but we don't know the Rishabh of the past and how much that influences him now.
