whats up with karan?

the way karan's character is shaping up, it is definitely leading to something big.

in today's episode rakhi asked him why did u leave preeta on road? usko kuch ho jata to?

and he responded with anger "TO HO JATA" & he clearly told his mother that he doesn't regret at all for whatever he did.

on the other hand, preeta was crying her heart out. she asked shrishti if karan wanted to teach me a lesson, why did he take revenge from my family. why my FAMILY.

i have never scene an ITV male lead stoop this much low UNLESS the wroter wants to separate that pair permanently with a strong guilt factor.

Interesting point what do you think they might do with him? I thought they would make it a suicide track for Preeta to really punish Karan tho I’m glad they didn’t.

I agree no ML has been this horrible. In KB, Abhi was childish, moronic and distrusting when he cut relations with Pragya but even there they never showed a MAJOR misunderstanding rather a difference of approach to a stressful situation between them that caused this.

I loved Abhigya and they have totally destroyed them, no scenes together and aged them 25 years plus. No hope here, I doubt even if Rakhi/Rishabh ask Preeta, Sarla would let her go.

Today's precap was rather suggestive Rishabh seems to be siding with Preeta at this stage, but I don't know if Rishabh would go as far as supporting Preeta OVER Karan at this stage.

@bold - I hope Sarla would not let Preeta go to the Luthras. It would be much better and interesting to watch. If Preeta would come to the Luthras as a bahu then it will be very predictable and a lot of humiliation for her. Hope the writers have something new for us this time.

It seems Sarla has a plan. I liked how she forbade Preeta to cry.

Hope that plan is punishing karan and ruining his image. I want to see him get kicked out of the cricket team for ruining a girl's life, because in reality a celebirity making even the smallest of mistakes can ruin their image, but here karan was deceitful, lying and manipulative out on the open and did a major crime.

only time when ekta made her male lead stoop too low on this level was in KZK1. anurag and prerna were married, anurag insulted prerna, he doubted the paternity of prerna's yet to be born child and literally kicked her out of his house. komolika planted a seed of doubt in his mind just like sherlyn did with karan. and when the truth was revealed, anurag felt so guilty that he considered himself unworthy of prerna and he himself got prerna married to bajaj. that was the only time when ekta did this to her male lead and he ended up losing the female lead to the one-sided lover forever.

so this can happen in KDB too as this show has a second male lead too.

I was thinking along that line as well, but I doubt that Rishabh and Preeta would get married in Kundali Bhagya. Karan WILL undoubtedly feel guilty enough to create that situation. But that won't happen. The reason being Bajaj was a never a 100% positive, the seed of doubt with the photo-shopped photographs that showed Prerna and Bajaj in compromising position were actually made by Bajaj. Komolika merely changed the paternity test reports. The main seed of doubt was already planted by Bajaj. It is interestingly (stupid/silly) how photo shopped photographs have brought an end to the level of trust in both the shows.

u mean female lead can only get married to the person who is somewhat negative? no hope for a positive character?

I am saying that the only time I remember Ekta getting her female lead married to a non-douchebag character was in Kahin Toh Hoga, and that guy was Piyush, and Piyush DIED. But even more importantly Rishabh isn't the sort of character who would go against Preeta's will, (internal or external) to get married to her, (Plus Karan IS his brother) and Preeta doesn't have the sort of 'ego disguised under self-respect' that she'll actually go ahead and do that sort of thing. All I am saying is that Rishabh and Preeta are going to remain connected and probably support each other through most of the thicks and thins in their lives, but marriage is long shot.
