though i haven't watched all episodes of these shows but i think ML's of pavitra rishta, naagin-3 and BALH were pretty much sane characters. i can name a few more.

rishabh and preeta may not want to get married but karan being the incharge of preeta's life might push them into marriage. dont underestimate him.

also i think she will get married to both brothers as the theme of the show suggests.

I can see something like this happening. Odds are by the time Karan realizes that Preeta was right all along, ofcourse Sherlyn will be gone and at that time a remarriage between Rishabh and Preeta is very much possible.

Yet this is not the time of KZK2, now fans are a lot more crazy about lead pairs with social media etc. I feel those times, makers could do whatever they pleased and there weren't competing options. I don't know if the audience will accept this. Although look at KB what they have done to the leads, they will do the same here, seperation/reunited/seperation/death lalala, i feel genuinely the only reason its not happened is because Prithvi track was kinda accepted by the audience and Ekta went crazy with it.

Now they have a lot of material for atleast a year but also now TRP will fall if they stretch too much.

I would have to politely disagree with what you are saying, 'online' it may seem as thou Karan and Preeta as a pair have a LOT of fan following. And I am NOT saying that they don't, because they do. But Kundali Bhagya as a show has ALWAYS been a LOT more than just Karan and Preeta. There are plenty of dormant slightly miffed people who are still very much into Rishabh and Preeta, even after two years of sidelining Rishabh as a character to essentially a pillar in the Luthra house. (even with few and limited scenes among Rishabh and Preeta in between, ) THEY still manage to have a rather LOYAL fan base. Ekta gives flying finger to social media, Kundali Bhagya has probably been the most consistent show ever since its inception. I think the makers would continue to do as they please without too many consequences.

And early 2000's audience were I would say even more invested with the daily soaps than audiences today. Because back then there weren't a lot of options other than TV serials. Anurag and Prerna won the first Star Parivaar as best jodi (Prerna was married to Bajaj at that point) , Anurag and Prerna also incidentally won one of the first jodi awards in ITA as well. Anurag and Prerna WERE massive!! The reason why ALL tv serial couples meet and separate and meet AGAIN and AGAIN ( with a vamp hanging around in the corner) is because of KZK. (It is also the reason why KZK had remake). Rishabh Bajaj started of as a very grey almost dark character in KZK, but because of the 'storyline' and the 'fall' of Anurag as the hero his status got elevated. I don't think it is impossible to successfully show something similar. Considering the audience is mostly connected and invested with the female protagonist and if the right plot twists are brought at the time, I don't see a fall in TRP even if Rishabh and Preeta are eventually bound by holy matrimony. (Although, I don't believe that will happen)

as far as fan following is concerned, both couples have it.

if u remember holi track, they showed rishabh preeta for two straight weeks when dheeraj was on vacation, the show was still trp topper.

secondly, social media is no predictor of trp. current track of kdb is hated by social media fans but it is topping the trp charts. trp audience is very different from social media and ekta knows it.

ekta is clearly garnering sympathy for preeta and making viewers hate karan hence trp audience will support rishabh preeta pairing if she ever plans to do it.

rishabh and preeta have to get married only then rishabh's affections will be revealed to preeta.

instead marrying karan or rishabh...can they show preeta having a self-respect and stop crying...give that looser a tight slap...this will garner more trps at the moment rather than preeta being karan or rishabh's wife...karan that looser has crossed all limits of inhumanity...he is a devil at the moment...blinded by stupidity...anger n hatred....

Haan thats true....Balaji in particular is very non receptive to audience feedback no matter what Ekta has her own plan and agenda. As for both Bhagyas I genuinely believe she will never let leads be happy and thats because she believes (and she may be right) that the TRP audience will lap it all up.After today's episode Rishabh TOLD karan that now that he is married he has to give her rights. You know what the issue is? The lack of agency of Rishabh, thats it, he needs to be fleshed out more, give us his reaction beyond shock and awe.

I totally always thought it would be Rishabh marrying Preeta and then Karan but now that she did marry Karan, I am certain we will see a Rishta union. The only thing that would stop that is if Manit gets bored and quits or she dilutes the character.

Damn she has succeeded because I am pissed on a cellular level whenever I see clips on Insta. I cringe every time she plays Kabir Singh songs because it is SO obvious she is inspired by the movie and is trying to paint Karan as Kabir.

Thats so true because true TRP audience esp rural is nowhere on social media or aware of our character analysis 🤣. They're like oh drama, marriage, angst all to entertain me while I eat dinner.
