“Lies and secrets, Tessa, they are like a cancer in the soul. They eat away what is good and leave only destruction behind.”
― Cassandra Clare, Clockwork Prince
When we come in to this world our family is our first point of our contact with the outside world. A family is supposed to nurture you, shower you with you love and make you feel you belong. Your family is supposed to be your safe haven. Sadly, Abir RV only had this feeling for a brief period of time until it was brutally snatched away from him without any answers. Basically Abir's whole world changed in the course of one day and he never knew why. He is caught in a web of lies sadly which has been weaved by his own family.
What I love about the current track is that #YehRishteyHainPyaarKe is trying to tell the masses that no matter whatever your equation is with your spouse a child should never be deprived of a parents love. Every child should be given the chance to form their own opinion.Just think about since his childhood Abir has been asking questions on why his Baba left? Was he not enough to make his Baba stay. Why he never came back. That's an awful amount of emotional toll for a kid who also has to look out for his younger bro.At this point I don't care if Baba was a criminal, a fraud or a cheat what I care about it that at the end of the day he is Abir's father. They boy has the right of meeting him and getting closure.
"Baap jab bachpan main chod kar jata hain toh saath bachpan bhi lay jata hain" Abir was forced to grow up overnight. He wore a mask in front of his fam and always helped them but now when he needs help no one is looking past their own grievances.Nanu can have any XYZ reason to keep Abir away from Baba but what broke Abir today was that the only person whom he relied upon in the whole fam has also been lying to him."Aap nay mujh say jhoot bola" hurts like hell. It reminded me of that iconic moment from Julius Caesar when Brutus stabs him in the back and he goes like 'Eu tu Brutus' his most trusted and loyal friend just back stabs him and Shakespeare goes like how Caesar doesn't die from the pain of the wound rather he dies from the pain of his loved one holding a weapon against him.
No wonder Abir feels suffocated in his own house because no one gives a damn about his feelings. No one has ever come up to him and asked that why is he looking for his father that why is he chasing the ghosts of his past. The hypocrisy of Parul, Nanu , Kaushil and Ben Baa boggles me do these people really think that lying to both Abir and Kunal would do them any good. On top of that they have the audacity to invoke God while they don't hesitate from lying or kidnapping. In what world did Parul think that Ben Baa would raise her son well. Kunal is nothing more than an egoistic, chauvinist and a sorry excuse of a human being. In stead of warning her friend against the consequences of her wrong actions . Parul is ready to be Ben Baa's bestie again and help her out in carrying her evil plans. This family doesn't deserve a poor soul like Abir. I am glad that Abir has Mishti in his life tbh because he really needs some one. No wonder Mish was always like a ghar for him because his own family has never given him that feeling.
Mishti is his partner in truest sense instead of rushing in to marriage she is willing to let Abir figure out things at his end."Jab main hamesha sochti rahi kay meray Maa/Papa mujay kyun chod kar gaye toh main Abir ko kaisay roku"
When BM said: "Woh hain toh bohot samajdar par aakhir woh bhi toh insaan hain" after all Abir is human too. He is infallible, even he can break down and even he needs support. My heart goes out to Abir because an outsider understands him better than his real family.

You all Mish mentioning 'Entrepreneur of the Year' trying to remind her man of his potential is making me so emotional. Why are they so cute. Then she going on how she can't l leave her ring choice up to her Ajeeb Rajvansh was all kinds of cute. That 50 lakh thing though Abir's eyes really popped out of his sockets. How easily she again offered him her support by reminding him that they need to start doing something about Baba."Bohot dar say tumhay cycle race main nahi haraya" takes me back to when Mish deliberately lost the race to make her friend happy. The I hate you bit was so sweet it reminded me of 10 things I hate about you movie.
I hate it when you make me laugh
Even worse when you make me cry
But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you
Not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all.
Stray Thoughts
- The intercutting of that intense Abir confrontation scene with the Kuku scene was annoying af.
- Best lines
- "20 saal say mainay apnay baba ki shakal nahi dekhi"
"Main tumharay paas aha raha huay waisay bhi mera yahan dam ghut raha hain" - "Woh aadmi meray Baba hain"
- Kunal saying I hate Mish after eavesdropping on his bro's conversation was hilarious. He really needs more dialogues because his tape recorder is stuck at "I hate Mishti jhaap"
