Edit: Oh my god.. I just checked and it really was Eddie Murphy? I didn't realise that at all. Apparently with the help of makeup, he completely transformed his looks. This is incredible.

It is more than a double role, Eddie plays multiple roles in The 1988 Coming to America
  • Eddie Murphy plays Prince Akeem, the prince of Zamunda
    • Murphy also plays: Randy Watson, a soul singer with the fictional band Sexual Chocolate; Saul, the white Jewish barbershop customer; and Clarence, the owner of the barber shop.
  • Arsenio Hall plays Semmi, Akeem's friend
    • Hall also plays: Reverend Brown; Morris the barber; and Extremely Ugly Girl, an unattractive female clubgoer.

He then again does it in the year 2000 in The nutty professor II playing seven characters, as his entire family The Klumps, (only the teen was a hired actor) he plays himself of course as fat and thin and a Richard Simmons parody (the film was a re-make or inspired by Jerry Lewis's Nutty professor from 1963 and also, The family Jewels from 1965.

Neena had a point and she put it across effectively without insulting or degrading anyone.

Rangoli did the opposite. She used it as n opportunity to insult Tapsee again. And in doing so she diluted the effect of Neena's valid point.

Constructive criticism is fine but demeaning someone's effort in choicest of words to take a dig is not good.

Rangoli uses every opportunity to turn around each and everything to show how morally upright and awesome her sister is..and how chindi r other people. Take any past issue and see how she turned it around to glorify her sister. Now for her this is also about Kangana and not age suitable actresses like Neena, Ratna, etc.

Kangana is playing Jaya at 20's to 43 years which is closer to her age both ways.

here the story itself is about the achievement of 2 elderly who became famous for their rifle shooting. Their journey starts at 60.

Also Neena Gupta questioned it first, she said, why can't they cast her or at least consider her for roles that require someone her age.

It is an issue that needs to be asked, why weren't they considered , why are heroines stamped with an expiry date after which they can only play mother, sister, character roles.

why can't they play lead roles , why the age discrimination at all, if male stars esp 50 plus can play a variety of roles ranging from young to old, shouldn't the same option given to the female stars 50 plus as well.

This has nothing to do about Tapsee or Bhumi at all.

So it ends at the point when she becomes CM? Not including the most interesting and controversial part era of her life. Maybe it was difficult to whitewash that. Her early life can be whitewashed by showing her a victim of circumstances

isnt kangana planning her directorial debut TEJU, in which she is playing an 85 year old woman....

what about that? can she give Neena that role since shes so generous with her charity platter, that she suggested Neena name to the makers when they approached her?

Rangoli/Kangana might be hypocrites. But the point they rise is valid (they might act opposite next time. It does not matter. It still holds).

Just imagine, Amitabh’s character in Badla being played by Varun Dhawan or Ranveer. Varun may not be (he has a baby face). Ranveer might pull off an old man’s face. But he cannot get the layers of character. Most of the appreciation will go to how he looked authentic as a old man, not on the role he performed. That was not with Amitabh.

But there is another angle too. Is there any senior actress with the star value as Amitabh? Amitabh can guarantee an opening bigger than some of the young female leads. Can senior actresses give that?

Oh damn. I know about the nutty professor, just like Kamal Hassan does it. And even Adam Sandler but those are goofy movies. I didn't realise he did it in Coming to America which I thought was a straight and simple film. Come to think of it, the jewish man did seem to have a weird face lol

Problem is different. They used this point to glorify Kangana and put Tapsee down.

Rangoli's twitter is so cringeworthy..talking about Kangana's sacrifice for the greater humanity..what all she is doing for our sake..us lesser humans.

And how all the sasta people have ganged up against her. It's a complete pile of negativity. Won't support anything that Kangana does just coz of this one Twitter account..even if she is the epitome of truth..

It is nothing new to her...Remember how she tried to derail the metoo debate by making it all about herself?

About the debate, both the sides have a point - ultimately we should just let the people who are investing their hard earned money choose whoever they want to choose!
