Not a Contract marriage Part 1

I dedicate this to aastha465 and Piyali who wanted me to write a Ruhaan-Janvi story.

PK Mittal moved to the dining room.

PK:Janviiiiiiiiiiiii

He heard her reply:Ji Papa..

Janvi came with a cup of tea and handed over it to PK.

PK smiled sipping her tea.

PK:In the morning if I don't drink the tea made by you the day does'nt start well.

Janvi smiled.

PK's wife Aradhana said with a smile:After you came he needs only you.

Janvi smiled.

PK caressed Janvi's head:You are the daughter I longed for.I was sad that I don't have a daughter.But though late God blessed me with a daughter in law who is actually a daughter.

Janvi:It's my luck that I got you both to shower love on me.

They smiled.

PK:Janvi...the business tips you gave me really worked.My business does'nt go up even an inch without you.

Janvi smiled.

PK:Anyways you get ready to go to office.

Janvi:Ji papa.

Janvi is the main hand of PK in business too.In both office and home PK can't survive without Janvi,

PK and Aradhana's son Ruhaan passed by.

PK:Where are you going?

Ruhaan:I have a photo shoot.

Aradhana:So early?

Ruhaan:Yes.It's outdoor shoot.

PK:Ok.But without informing us why are you just going out?You can at least tell Janvi where you are going.She is your wife.

Ruhaan got irritated:I am very busy dad.I have to leave immediately.I will get late.No time to inform everyone.

Janvi smiled:Papa...Ruhaan is right.He has no time.

PK:Ok.But come before evening.There is a puja.Hope your photo shoot will get over then.

Ruhaan:I will try.

He just left.

PK:Why is he like this?

Janvi:It's ok papa.Ruhaan is a busy fashion photographer.He has work stress also.

PK looked at Janvi deeply:You are happy with Ruhaan.Right?

Janvi's heart was pricked.She gave a fake smile:Yes.I am very happy.

PK:If he ever makes you upset just tell me.I will teach him a lesson that he will never dare to trouble you again.

Janvi smiled painfully.

Janvi:Anyways I will do arrangements for puja.

PK:Ok beta...

Ruhaan was on the beach as the shoot was there.Seeing the model he got lost in her.

He was clicking photographs of his model.She looked so beautiful that Ruhaan could not take his eyes off her.

After the shoot the model went to the vanity van.Ruhaan went there and held her closer.She blushed.

Ruhaan:I can't wait anymore.I want to make you mine Mishti.

Mishti:Ruhaan...just a few more months.After that we will reveal the truth and get united forever.

Ruhaan:I will wait for that moment Mishti.

They shared a sweet romantic eye lock.

Flash back...

Janvi was working in PK's office.Impressed by her PK decided to make her his daughter in law by making her married to his son Ruhaan.But Ruhaan was not interested.

Ruhaan:I can't even think of marrying that behenji.I am a fashion photographer who works with stylish models.Marrying a behenji like Janvi is a nightmare for me.

PK:Don't judge anyone by their appearance Ruhaan.With Janvi you will have a happy life.I am very sure about it.

Ruhaan did not mind it.But the strict father like PK kept pressurizing Ruhaan to marry Janvi.

Ruhaan who was attracted to the model Mishti proposed her by making her wear a diamond ring.

Mishti:It's so beautiful.

Ruhaan:Marry me Mishti.

Mishti was shocked:What are you saying Ruhaan?So early?You know that at this point of my career I can't get married.

Ruhaan:You know how strict my dad is.I am only a puppet in his hands.There is too much of pressure on me by him to marry his employee Janvi.

Mishti:Marry her Ruhaan.

Ruhaan was shocked:What are you saying Mishti?We are dating.Still you are asking me to marry that behenji?I want to marry you,not her.

Mishti:Relax Ruhaan.If I marry you I will lose all my modelling projects.This year is very important for me.But to escape from your dad's pressure you marry Janvi.By the end of this year my contract will get over and I will marry you.That time you divorce Janvi.Your dad will also be convinced that Janvi won't be right for you.

Ruhaan:Are you sure?

Mishti:Yes Ruhaan.

Ruhaan:Ok...

Ruhaan embraced her emotionally.

Ruhaan:I can't imagine giving your place to someone else.

Mishti:Chill Ruhaan.It's only for some time.

Ruhaan agreed to marry Janvi which made PK and Aradhana very happy.The wedding arrangements were started.

Ruhaan met Janvi.Janvi was blushing.She has met Ruhaan many times.But this time she met him as her fiance.

Ruhaan:I love another girl.

Janvi was shocked.She felt that her head was spinning.Ruhaan told her about Mishti and his plan making her shock.

Ruhaan:I know that you are hurt.But I am really sorry.I cannot cheat you by giving you false dreams about this marriage.That's why I told you everything frankly.Now you can take a decision.Either you deny to marry me or sign the contract marriage paper according to which our marriage will only be a contract for one year.

Janvi was shattered.

She thought:Our wedding is going to happen in 2 days.If I refuse to marry Ruhaan in the last moment it will be like breaking PK sir's trust.He has done so much for me.He trusts me blindly.I can't hurt him.My dada and Maa are so happy that I got a nice marriage alliance.They have done all arrangements for my wedding.I can't crush their dreams now.

Janvi looked at Ruhaan tearfully:I will sign the contract marriage paper.

Ruhaan gave her the contract paper and Janvi signed it.Her tears fell down.

Ruhaan and Janvi got married.

Janvi became the darling of Ruhaan's family,but Ruhaan never loved her.But before others Ruhaan and Janvi played a perfect couple.

Present...

Janvi's parents Ashok and Anuradha arrived for the puja.

Anuradha caressed Janvi:We feel very happy to see you being loved by all.You are lucky that you got a sasural like this.

Janvi:Yes Maa.I am very lucky.

Janvi said in her mind:But very soon I will lose my sasural as our marriage contract will expire in 2 months.

She suppressed her pain.

Ashok said to PK and Anuradha:We don't have words to thank you both for loving our daughter so much.

Anuradha:Guess even we don't love her as much as you all love her.

PK and Aradhana smiled.

Aradhana:We should thank you both for producing such a lovely daughter for us.

PK:Janvi is the Lakshmi of this house.

They smiled.Ruhaan came back.Janvi's face blossomed seeing him.Ruhaan touched the feet of Janvi's parents and they blessed him.

Janvi stood with the lamp for puja who was joined by Ruhaan.

Ruhaan stared at her thinking:You are the Lakshmi of this house.But unfortunately not my Parvati.

After puja,Janvi brought aarti towards PK,Aradhana,Ashok and Anuradha.

Aradhana served break fast for Ruhaan.

Ruhaan:Oh ho...i don't like this.I am just fed of having this always.

Janvi came with pasta.

Janvi:I made pasta for you Ruhaan. I hope you will like this.

Ruhaan was surprised:You made it for me?

Janvi:Ya.

Ruhaan:But you did'nt know how to make it.

Janvi:But I took the recipe from internet as you like it.

Ruhaan tasted it.

Ruhaan:Yummy..I am impressed.

Janvi became very happy.Aradhana smiled.

Janvi:I will try to make all your favourite dishes.

Ruhaan thought:We are not a normal couple.Still she is doing so much for me.

Janvi noticed Ruhaan in pain as his leg got sprained.

Janvi:What happened Ruhaan?

Ruhaan:Nothing.While walking I just fell down and ...

Janvi brought hot water.

Ruhaan:What is this?

Janvi:Hot water massage is really good for this.

Ruhaan:No need.It's ok.

Janvi:Ruhaan..it's ok..I will do it.

Janvi started massaging his legs.Ruhaan's eyes were on her.

Ruhaan:Why are you doing this for me Janvi?

Janvi:You are my husband.How can I see you in pain?

Ruhaan was stunned.Suddenly Janvi realized what she said.

Ruhaan:What did you say?

Janvi felt awkward:Nothing.

Ruhaan thought:Is Janvi having feelings for me?I hope not.If so when our divorce happens she will break down.

Ruhaan went near Janvi.

Ruhaan:Janvi...can I tell you something?

Janvi nodded.

Ruhaan:Very soon we will get separated.But I don't want it to end on a sad note.

Janvi's heart pained hearing about the separation.

Ruhaan:So why don't we get separated as friends?

Janvi looked at him emotionally.

Ruhaan:Shall we be friends?

Janvi smiled happily.

They shook hands cheerfully.

Janvi thought:What if Ruhaan did'nt love me?He accepted me as his friend.That's a great thing.

Janvi took the car and went to the temple.When she returned she saw Ruhaan staring at her angrily.

Janvi got nervous:What happened Ruhaan?Any problem?

Ruhaan:My problem is you.

Janvi was shocked:I?

Ruhaan:Yes..you.

Janvi's heart broke into pieces.

Janvi thought:What happened due to which Ruhaan is so angry with me?

Great start 👍🏼Janvi is everyone's favorite except Ruhaan's 🤔Family scene was superb 😃 Ruhaan in love with a model Mishti and together they decided to let him marry Janvi as per his parents choice and after her assignments they will get married 😳Ruhaan and Janvi became friends..I think he got angry on her to prove his parents that Janvi is not good for him so he is pretending..Right? Perfect pics and song ❤️

Ruhaan loves Mishty but he had to marry Jhanvi because of PK's force. Sad that Mishty denied to marry him till her contract ends. But it is not wrong to have a career. Loved Jhanvi serving Ruhaan. I wonder what made Ruhaan angry with Jhanvi after he accepted her as a friend.

Janvi took the car and went to the temple.When she returned she saw Ruhaan staring at her angrily.

Janvi got nervous:What happened Ruhaan?Any problem?

Ruhaan:My problem is you.

Janvi was shocked:I?

Ruhaan:Yes..you.

Janvi's heart broke into pieces.

Janvi thought:What happened due to which Ruhaan is so angry with me?

Ruhaan:Since you took my car I could'nt get car on time.

Janvi:Sorry.Since my car has problem papa told me to take your car.

Ruhaan:You had no manners to ask me before that?

Janvi:I am sorry Ruhaan.I would not have taken your car if I had known this.

Ruhaan:No need of your stupid sorry as it has become too late.Dad's car was also not here as he went out.I did'nt get taxi on time.So I could'nt reach my studio on time.So the top model I fixed for my personal calendar shoot went back.She is very busy.I got her after requesting her a lot.Now what will I do?That model and I were supposed to pose together as a couple for the calendar.Now nothing can be done.I have no model to pose with me.My calendar shoot got cancelled because of you.If Mishti was there i could have asked her to be the model.But she is out of station.

Janvi felt guilty and upset.

Janvi:Ruhaan...don't be upset.We will find a solution.

Ruhaan shouted at her:What solution do you have?Will a behenji like you pose as a model for me?

Janvi's eyes were full of tears.She ran to her room.

After some time...

Ruhaan was sitting his home studio.He was frustrated.

Another photographer:Ruhaan Sir...did you get another model?

Before Ruhaan could say 'no' he heard some foot steps.He looked at that person.He could not believe his eyes.It was Janvi in a red gown.She looked gorgeous.

The photographer smiled:Ruhaan Sir..you chose your own wife as the model?The model you have chosen is perfect.This Calendar shoot will rock.

Ruhaan was numb seeing Janvi like this.

Ruhaan and Janvi posed together in different outfits for the shoot.

While posing with Janvi unknowingly Ruhaan got attracted towards her.

Ruhaan thought:Og God..my heart is beating fast.Why?

The photographer:Perfect couple.

Ruhaan and Janvi looked at each other in an odd manner as they knew the truth of their relation.

At home...

Ruhaan:Thank you Janvi.Though modern dress is not your comfort zone you still wore it for me.

Janvi:No need of thanks Ruhaan.Though we are not a real couple still you are my husband.I did it for my husband.After all it was because of me that you faced problem.I just tried to correct my mistake.

Ruhaan looked at her emotionally:I am sorry Janvi.Though we became friends I became rude to you.Please forgive me.

Janvi:There is no sorry in friendship.

They both giggled.

Janvi arranged surprise birthday party for Ruhaan.Ruhaan was surprised.

Ruhaan cut the cake while Janvi and others sang the birthday song for him.

PK:Feed it to Janvi.Being your wife she deserves the first piece.

Ruhaan and Janvi were shy as they are not a real couple.

Aradhana:Come on Ruhaan.

Ruhaan fed the cake to Janvi slowly.Janvi could not stop blushing.

PK:Now it's Janvi's turn.Take the knife and cut the cake Janvi.

Janvi was shy:Ji papa.

Janvi fed him back shyly.They all howled due to excitement.

PK:You are really a lucky husband Ruhaan.See your loving wife Janvi arranged birthday party for you specially.

Ruhaan smiled,but it was pale.

Ruhaan went near Janvi:Thank you for the party Janvi.

She smiled.

Ruhaan:But why did you arrange party for me?

Janvi became emotional.She smiled painfully:You are my friend Ruhaan.Before going i wanted to celebrate your birthday.I feel nice to celebrate your birthday.After this I won't get a chance to celebrate your birthday.Right?

Ruhaan noticed tears in her eyes as she walked away.

Ruhaan:Why do I feel that she really loves me and is sad to divorce me?When I divorce her she will be so sad?How can I hurt her when she does everything to make me happy?Why her pain is affecting me?

Janvi went home for a few days to look after her father as he was having fever.

Ruhaan was missing her like hell.

Ruhaan:Why I feel restless when Janvi is not around me?Mishti has been away for months for modelling commitments.But I never felt so restless.But why I am restless when Janvi is just a few days away from me?Am I falling in love with Janvi?

Ruhaan was in dilemma.

Janvi reached back.

PK:How is Ashok now?

Janvi:Dada is fine now papa.

PK:Good.This house was sleeping without you Janvi.

Aradhana:We really missed you Janvi.

PK:I am happy that you are back.Life is impossible without you Janvi.

Janvi smiled:Now I am back papa.

Seeing Janvi Ruhaan was so excited that he ran towards her and embraced her.Janvi was stunned.

PK and Aradhana became shy seeing their hug.

PK:Today's generation has no shame.

PK and Aradhana walked away giggling to give them privacy.

Ruhaan:Thank God Janvi you reached back.I really missed you.

Janvi felt happy hearing those words and got lost in their first hug.

Suddenly Ruhaan realized what he did and broke the embrace.He was embarrassed.

Ruhaan:Sorry.Don't get me wrong.It was just a friendship hug.

Janvi became dull.

Janvi:Ok.

She walked away.

Ruhaan thought:When Janvi is near me I feel very happy.Dad is right.We should not judge anyone by their appearance.Like dad predicted I am very happy in my married life with Janvi.I think i love Janvi.

Suddenly he became upset remembering Mishti.

Suddenly Mishti rang him up.

Ruhaan:Mishti is back.She wants to meet me.

Ruhaan picked up the call.

Mishti:Ruhaan..I am back.Let us meet.

Ruhaan:Sure.I really want to meet you.

Ruhaan said in his mind:I have to tell everything to Mishti.She will be so hurt.Will she feel betrayed?

Ruhaan and Mishti met.

Ruhaan:Mishti..I need to tell you one thing.Only a few more days are left for our contract marriage to end.

Mishti:I know.But sorry Ruhaan...I can't marry you as I promised you.I got few more modelling projects.For that I need to shift to Middle East.I don't think long distance relationship will work.

So...

Ruhaan smirked:Break up.Right?

Mishti:I think that's better for us.Otherwise you will keep on waiting for me and I won't be able to give my time to you.I don't want to spoil your life Ruhaan.You deserve someone better who loves you a lot..who gives you enough time.

Ruhaan:I also think that break up is better.Because I have fallen in love with Janvi and that's what I wanted to tell you.

Mishti was relieved:Thank God.I was guilty of hurting you.

Ruhaan smiled:No.You have not hurt me.In fact you helped me to move on smoothly with Janvi.

Mishti smiled:I always felt that we won't be able to get along with each other for a long time.And I knew that Janvi is better for you .That's why I asked you to marry Janvi.

Ruhaan was surprised.

Mishti:I am happy that you are finally settled with Janvi.Wish you all the best for your married life with Janvi from the bottom of my heart.

Ruhaan smiled:Thank you.Wish you all the best for your career.I am sure that with the upcoming projects you will be a top model.

Mishti:Thank you Ruhaan.

They parted away giving a friendly hug to each other.

Janvi was in tears as their marriage was going to end.Ruhaan entered the room.Though she wiped her tears he saw her tears clearly.

Janvi:Ruhaan...our contract marriage is going to end.You can marry the girl you love.It's time for me to leave.

Ruhaan:Then what about my parents who are more attached to you than me?

Janvi said painfully:We will tell them.It's time for them to know about our separation.But don't worry..I won't tell them about our contract marriage.We will tell them that due to compatibility issues we are getting separated.

Ruhaan:Are you sure that you want to leave?

Janvi looked at him confusingly.

Ruhaan:Tell me the truth Janvi.Do you love me?

Janvi was frozen by his question.

Ruhaan:Don't try to hide anything.Say.

Janvi burst out:Yes I love you.But what's the use of knowing my feelings for you?Nothing can be done.Right?You don't need me.

I am the most unlucky girl in this world who had to do contract marriage.What is worse than contract marriage?It is my fate to have the brutal tragedy like contract marriage.I wish no other girl on this earth gets my fate.

Her tears were rolling down her cheeks.

Ruhaan felt a prick on his heart.

Ruhaan:What if I say that our marriage is not a contract marriage?

Janvi was confused.

Ruhaan took the contract marriage papers in his hand and tore it shocking Janvi.

Ruhaan:Now it's no more contract marriage.We are a normal couple like any other couple.

Janvi's lips shivered:Ruhaan..what is all this?I can't understand anything.

Ruhaan cupped her face emotionally:Though it was contract marriage you did everything which a wife does for her husband which I did'nt deserve..Janvi...you taught me what love is and I realized that the person I love is not Mishti..but you.I love you Janvi.I want to lead a happy married life with you.I don't want divorce.

Janvi looked at him in disbelief.

Ruhaan:Say Janvi..will you forgive me and live as my wife forever in every sense?

Janvi nodded smiling with tears in her tears.He too smiled emotionally and embraced each other.

Ruhaan was clicking Janvi's photographs.

Janvi:What's this Ruhaan?I am not a model just because once I posed as your model.

Ruhaan pulled her closer:You may not be a fashion model.But you are my role model.

They smiled at each other.

Time passed...

We can see a framed photograph of Ruhaan Janvi on the wall.

Ruhaan and Janvi were busy managing their beautiful daughter named Alekha.

Alekha was the pet of her grand parents PK-Aradhana and Ashok Anuradha.

They don't leave a chance to pamper Alekha.

Ruhaan Janvi lived happily with Alekha,

Sad that Ruhaan was rude to Jhanvi as he missed the appointment. Glad that Jhanvi made up for the missed appointment. The photographer said they are the best couples. Their photoshoot became a success. Ruhaan realized his love for Jhanvi. I loved the understanding between Mishaan. Their decision to part was mutual. Jhanvi & Ruhaan's decision to stay together was emotional. Their moments with Alekha was cute. Fav scene is a mishaan photo session. fav jodi is Ruhaan & Jhanvi. In this scenario, Mishty suited Ruhaan as his model. If she had really loved Ruhaan, she would have given the first priority to her marriage. On the other hand, Jhanvi's love for Ruhaan was unconditional.
